BIKE IS FOR SALE NOW DUE TO TRACKBIKE ADDICTION.

$1500, CLEAN TITLE AND LICENCE PLATE IN HAND.

It needs some work, mostly in the form of some missing stock parts, but it fires up and runs. It's got a TB 88 kit and the stock 3 speed semi-auto. Odometer currently shows 3500 miles.

Should have a stock taillight in the next few days, and it's got lights and signals that are all functional. Carb needs a good cleaning.

Also, my 5 year old is a cheeseball and wanted to be in the pictures, so naturally my 2 year old wanted in on the action too.. :laughing

Doesn't look bad Mike :thumbup All you need is some powder coating and it'll look great.

That tank looks like a Skyteam tank. I might have some stock ZB pegs if you need them (they're actually gstegman's but he might give them to you for a couple bucks. Shoot him a PM). A free mod you can do is relocate the battery box to under the tank (look on PM for details). Let me, Greg, or Brad know if you need any parts.

parts

Mike,
I have four aftermarket blinkers you can have. They do not look like stock but they will make you legal. I have some tires you can have (might be easier just to swap wheels depending on condition). I can weld your tabs for the front mounts or I might have that mount as well. I had to replace my tabs as well so I fabbed some that are identical to stock.

Congrats on 5th ZB in the area that I know of and I think there are a few more.

What's the brown line coming down on the left side of the motor?

With the right sprocket combo that baby'll do 211!

Looks in good shape, remember they are 1988 models so that is great. It looks like it has a big bore 88cc?

Shifter is located 2-3 splines too low and the kicker is 1 to far forward... (not being nit picky JK)

Some of the std parts are hard to find but it looks like a fine canidate to re-build...

Mine is all stock still... Even the std blinkers too even though they fail alot (rattle apart inside) I ordered new ones from Honda yrs ago but they do not make them anymore...

I have 1 new spare. I had a guy from Barf see mine at Laguna Seca and sorta tell I was crazy riding it around all stock with that stuff on it...

Mine is in like 85-90% in great shape and it runs like a top. It has about 2k miles on it starts on the first kick always.

The tires I have are just like yours... The only none std parts on mine is the tires and a new petcock is on cuz U4 ate the std oldschool one apart. Oh yeah and someone drilled my swingarm yrs ago for buddy pegs and so they are not there and the hole has a stick on reflector over the hole.

I have had mine for about 5 yrs now... If you need any help or parts or welding or anything just pm or come to the shop and we will tear into it...

Oh yeah careful sitting on it with the stand on it's side the pegstay is super thin... We do make HD ones for klx 110s and xr/crf and z50s and I can custom a ZB one up with side stand mount... I have a std one but soon I may build one as I have bent mine back like 100's of times.

Yeah they are super cool little cruisers... I want to find a pile someday and Fast50s it all up and make it do like 900 MPH... :)

Sending a PM now :thumbup

congrats mike. so what are you plans? how stock do you plan to keep it?

Phase 1 is just getting the missing bits and pieces installed and sorting out the bike so that it's in solid running condition. NSR suspension is something I want to do, but it'll probably take awhile because I won't have the funds to buy all the parts at once. This bike is gonna be done "right" even if it takes forever to gather parts.

I guess you'll be spending a lot of time on honda50.com looking through the custom ZB gallery from now on.

Whatever Mike I post about the kicker and shifter splines and no reply to tell me to STFU? :)

STFU.

:teeth

That's good to know, actually. It's a PITA to shift the bike right now.

Sweet! Congrats on the ZB Mike. Kiss your $ goodbye now. LOL

More true words have not been spoken...:ride

Three biggest fibs to ZB ownership:

1. I am just going to get it sorted out stock so it is legal.
2. I am going to do a few things to wake it up a little.
3. I think I am pretty much done with this bike.

So when is the first Bay Area ZB summit?

I say when it warms up, although its going to be hard for me not to take the APE. My poor ZB, it gets no love these days.

You can park it next to mine. I'm sure some of the parts would work well.

Actually after perusing around on PM for a bit, I think I'm going to try and ripoff jmurray's taillight idea with the 600RR light and the fabbed mounting bracket for it.

i can't agree anymore with #3. mine still needed triples, rearsets, and a nicer shock

that would be kinda cool to get as many zb's together as possible.
how about motogp?

it looks even better in person :thumbup
when you're ready to start on it let me know if you need some pics

Oh shit, that's right I forgot you bought his roller didn't you.

If you have pics of the bracket that he fabbed up that would rock.

So guess you're planning on running the tail cowl? If so, you'll need a Monkey R seat or add padding (to make a hump like the R seat) to your current one to make it look good.
