This on my way home from Nevada City.
Slabbed it 80 MPH in the toll lane through valley.
Guess you don’t pay if it’s during commute hours ….

I used to live about 1/2 mile from there on the Petaluma River.

You had your cell out at Ernie's?

Brave soul

After riding by that place several million times or so, I’ve still never stopped for a beer (although occasionally the kickstand was put down to avail myself of their plastic portaloos).

Going to have to slow down a bit and smell the roses.

I used to stop at Ernie’s after my CityBike runs.

I miss city bike for sure….
Just checking on this subject today.

I guess it wasn’t free …..Geez
Next steps below.

Motorcycles = Carpool status
Bay Area FasTrak rules explicitly state that carpools and motorcycles can use express lanes toll‑free or at a discount, depending on the corridor. bayareafastr...
• I‑80 specifically (Fairfield–Vacaville corridor)• Carpool requirement: 3+ people
• But motorcycles count as “3+” automatically
• With a FasTrak Flex tag set to “3+”, motorcycles travel toll‑free. 511.org

• If you don’t have a FasTrak Flex tag:
You can still ride in the lane, but the system will read your plate and charge you the full toll, because it assumes you’re a solo driver.
(This is why the Flex tag matters.)

✔️ What you need to do

To ride toll‑free in the I‑80 express lanes during commute hours:

1. Install a FasTrak Flex tag on your motorcycle.
2. Set the switch to “3+” before entering the lane.
3. Ride in the dashed‑line entry zones only (double‑white = violation). bayareafastr...

Yup.
A very cool place indeed.
I still stop when it's on my way home from somewhere.
I stopped drinking 18 years ago but that place just has too much character to ignore.
They pour a tasty class of Coke, and they forget my lemon every fucken time.
Weirdly, that's just another thing I love about that place.

This thread may motivate me to stop one day.
I always seem to be in a hurry to get to whatever destination I am trying to reach at that point, and have never stopped there in 40 years.

I have seen a lot of posts here saying they use the Government abuse lanes on their bikes and never have to pay and they are not carrying transponders.

I have and never been charged, but not the specific HWY 80 give us your first born lane.

Pissing rain on my way to PT. Arena today..
Didn't feel like stopping in wet gear.
The call of the bar in Pt. Arena was too strong.
Next time
