Monster Energy Supercross 2020 schedule **Spoiler** and fan thread/results/news etc

We started a work pool. I got first pick. My pick is Webb for the win.

Mad

Chad Reed for the win!! Such a champ, an athlete, and a great spokesperson for motorsports. Here’s to his last season racing!

I am going to pick Tomac for the win.

I would love to see Reed win. Even a top 5 would be awesome.

Reeds building of the sport is great but his wrong behavior while being a Lapper, him a Rollin bottle-neck, blocking the second place racers momentum/attempt for a win. Wtf
I like all the racers but l almost always root for the one in back trying to make the pass. Today I root for the Chupacabra.

I'm thinking of going with this list/order for my RMfantasy picks today

1) AC
2) Webb
3) Baggett
4) Tomac
5) Anderson

and Dean Wilson for 10th in the wild card pick.

Though that may change after qualifying.

AC and Tomac on top of qualifying again. Webb way back... again.

Editing my RmFantasy pics

1 AC
2 Webb
3 Baggett
4 Anderson
5 Tomac

14th for wildcard Hill

37 minutes and counting! :party

That looks good to me, or maybe swap Baggett and Tomac, orrrrr maybe Roczen sneaks in that fifth spot.

Welp , we're all losers. Webb was still sick. Chest infection, Tomac pulled off another crappy start, Reed at least made the Main. Congrats to Roczen. He worked his butt off for this.

:laughing yep, I definitely didn’t get it right. If we have learned anything after two rounds, the field REALLY is deep. I know every season is billed as that, but it’s especially true this year. Nearly 10 guys that could win any weekend under the right conditions AND a get a start. Field is too fast and deep, won’t get to challenge for podium unless you get a start.... unlike other seasons. Cough Eli.

Is Barcia for real? It is a contract season for him and Ferrandis moving up next year should be some real motivation for Bam Bam.

Glad to see Osborne bounce back this week and welcomed AC to the premier class. Loved the tit for tat.:thumbup

When are we going to see Jett Lawrence get to eat some donuts on the top of the podium?

The sustain prolonged physical effort required to podium finish is asking a lot from a sixteen year olds muscles. He rides good enough; .. maybe if he ate a donut at the five minute to go mark.

Jett impressed.

Roczen rocked. So good to see. :cool
stoked for him. Happy for Barcia too. Solid start to 2020.
Tomac did aight....given his crappy start. I expect him to come into form.

Track made for some good racing lines.

Had to skip this thread all day to see the race. :teeth

Man...you always hear this and that about testing and bike setup and most of the time I think they're full of shit, but charging like that up to second after winning the opener? I'd love it if he were in the mix all season.

R3 tonight!! Back to Anaheim!! Woot woot... just in time to help with my post Dakar fix. :teeth

Things to watch at A2

Hoping to see Bam Bam continue out front... and Roczen continue to win.. and maybe see the fast 450 Rookie (AC) stay on point and get the result his speed should result in.

Stoked for more fun! :banana

Just putting in my RmFantasy pics..... It's a fricking crapshoot with so many guys going so fast this year.

1) AC going to get his first win of the season
2) Cooper is going to bounce back healthy and hungry
3) Anderson is going to Dungey this championship (in a good way)
4) Roczen
5) Tomac isnt going to get a start again and will work up from 8th or 9th place

11) Martin Davalos is my wildcard pic

Osbourne and Bam Bam qualifying way back in 17th and 18th. Bam Bam is all about confidence and he was starting to get this sickness going around.... even if he gets a start I don't think he will hang. Wilson looked really good in qualifying, but I don't see him hanging for the full race even if he gets a start either.

In the end, anyone could run up front and I am just trying to justify pics in my head as I really dont know squat! :laughing

The real fireworks is going to be in the 250s. I think this weekend Jett Lawrence inserts himself in the Ferrandis, Cooper, Forkner equation. I want to see donuts on the podium. Since AC's first season, how long has it been since a true rookie at 16 years old has shown this much promise?

Bring it ON! :ride

OMG..... what a 250 race:wow

No doubt! :thumbup

Jett was flying.
Dropped it with what, 3-4 laps to go and still got up and held it almost to the end. Sooooo close to his first win!
Nasty stoppie get off.

Its going to be a classic to be remembered John. Those last two laps were painful to watch as you can see him just lose it mentally with the mistakes, I so wanted him to hang on. Really bummed Jett will be out with a broken shoulder.

Then of course there was also Ferrandis punting Craig like a midget shot out of cannon. 12 months probation for Ferrandis.

Cycle News report

It was a good night of racing.

Totally agree CJ... you could see Jett's reaction to the pressure.
Perhaps he was getting tired too. I would guess that. Heal quick kid.

Ferrandis sure did execute a quality punt. :laughing
Sucked :x

Tomac impressed coming from 10th through a stacked field.
Fast he was. He looked seriously happy with the win. :thumbup

Glad to see Roczen stay up front all night and capture the points lead. :Port

Webb showed his stuff too.. just not quite as fast stuff.
We got a good championship battle going. The podium keeps him just a bit off the top 5 who are all withing 10 points.

Bam Bam was Bam off last night.. I guess all day.
Wonder what the story is. :dunno

Too bad about Jett, that kid has talent. Unfortunately his young age showed when he was passed and pushed when a second would have been an excellent showing.

Ferrandis sure did execute a quality punt. :laughing

Ferrandis does not impress me at all, he forces the issue more often than he should and last night it took CC out of the race. I think a block pass is fine, that's racing, but what he executes are dangerous and AMA needs to nip that kind of behaviour before he badly hurts somebody.
