I asked this years ago, but tech obviously has improved. I need to extend my wifi signal from my condominium to a garage that is separate. The signal is interrupted by a garage structure and a condominium. I am going to have a new garage door and opener installed in that garage. The opener has a camera and can be monitored via cellphone. I set up an Amplifi mesh thing high in the rafters but did not get a signal. Can anyone recommend an extender with kick-ass range? I have line of sight to a 2nd condo that I own, to which the garage "belongs". My son rents this unit from us; I could install an extender inside it. I plugged in the Amplifi mesh thing this afternoon but it did not see my home router. If I need to get a whole new wifi system I am willing to do so.

Thanks for any recommendations and advice!

Starlink installer recommended this. It’s been great - no problems. One is outside and another inside. Installer said a Starlink and several of these provided WiFi for a trailer park.

A couple of my friends swear by Ubiquiti Unifi products.

Thank you very much, I will look into these as well. I need to reach about 160 ft, the signal, if direct, will pass through a detached garage and a condominium. If I hop to my 2nd condo, it is line of sight about 160 ft, then line of sight about 115 feet. If that makes sense. I could add an extender in my 2nd condo that my son lives in.
