This is probably a stupid question.. but my girlfriend wants to get on the back of my bike and try some 2up riding. I've been riding for 2 years and wasn't taking passengers until I had a few thousand miles under my belt, I feel up for trying it now (after reading all the tips on here). But she gets pretty car sick when we zip around on back roads (I'm a pretty smooth driver but I do tend to rip). I'm wondering if on a moto she won't get sick because she's supposed to be looking where I'm looking and following the road.

Anyone have any experience on this?

haz experience on this,

and yes you are correct, GF gets less motion-sick on a motorcycle BTW.

Basically the reality is that , if you're going from A to B in a car and she gets motion sick, if you do the same on a motorcycle, she probably will not get motion sick.

There's one way to find out :party

Start with a short ride to see how she's doing. Then for the first few longer rides, pull over and take breaks often, and go from there. Everybody's unique :angel

As long as she leans with the bike then forces will be mostly vertical, not side-to-side. Go easy on the throttle and brakes and it should be much better than in a cage.

We should check with The Professor. Or Marianne maybe.

Scopace pills if nothing else works. Guaranteed to work. Requires an Rx but that's easy and done with a phone call to the Doc.

The shit is the best with no side effects as with all the other products.

Side effects of ginger?

Ride fast enough and she'll be so scared that she won't have time to feel sick ;-).

Don't forget to give her a leg tap before you hoist the front wheel...

j/k - hope it goes well.

Don't worry, ya don't get motion sickness on a bike, cuz yer leaning. I get car sick but never sick on a bike. Eating ginger does help; both kinds. :chuci

When I was pregnant I felt really sick riding through the twisties for my daily commute. :(

Sea-bands or similar wrist bands help as well as the ginger.
