Moto CHP - One Cool Dude

I've never had a bad experience with any LEO. But I also do my best to avoid doing horribly stupid crap on public, or at least heavily trafficked, roadways. At this point I've been pulled over 4 times, my paperwork was always in order, and I always got off with a warning.

For the posters saying the chp's were dicks... Did they pull you over for no reason, harass you and write you a bogus ticket? Or did you get wrote up for breaking the law and are mad cuz you got caught? I don't get mad about tickets cuz I choose to speed or wheelie

I had an old El Cerrito cop car with exp tags, smokin a fatty, just got paid and off to Berkeley to buy some new vinyl (1980's) yeah I am old, with my buddy in tow, I spot the chip in my rearview and know why I am getting pulled over, although we are told to put our hands on the dash! He and partner come up guns drawn and explain some fellas have been robbing banks with same kind of car, but its not mine (my buddy was freakin and I told him I was robbing banks ha ha) anyway the Leo and I end up shootin the shit about bikes (he saw my M1) and we talk for 40 mins until his partner says lets go to him, he asked me to fix tags and I did.

Recently begged my way out of speeding ticket as well, Berkeley Moto Leo, I was shifting up from stoplight on Claremont heading up to the wall, had me dead to rights, gave up my squeaky clean license and pleaded with him not to tarnish it he did and said tell your buddies to slow down, I did............whew! 45 in a 25 got lucky as heck.

Glad ya got off op, there's much worse things out on the road than speeding, so it's good the CHP did his job. :thumbup
I've had trouble with some over zealous, snot nosed little peuke CHP, but never a CHP Mary. Or any Mary unit fer that matter. :teethBrown nose! :laughing

considering that speeding is the primary collision factor in the majority of accidents, I would argue that writing motorists tickets for speed violations is one of the main duties of a highway patrolman

I've had more trouble with the wanna-be's like res cops at the local casinos and parking security at the mall

I've found that 95% of the time, their attitude reflects your attitude. I've been let go, I've been ticketed, and the guy that arrested me for evasion, and I had an excellent talk about motorcycles while I was being driven to the lockup. If it wasn't for him having to arrest me, we'd probably be riding buddies.
