MOTOGP 2012 Round 1 : Doha, Qatar. 4/5-4/8 2012

If we were taking a shower together, and I dropped the soap, I wouldn't worry about bending over and picking it up. That's how classy Nicky is.

Replacing me with Nicky? You Jezebel! It's cause he grew the sexy long hair back isn't it

Marquez was dirty. Luthi should have protested.

“@eugenelaverty: This time Marquez wasn't out of order. When someone overtakes you + closes the door shortly before braking you should always brake early.”

Just some random dudes thought on the pass.

Qatar doesn't get enough credit for being a good track. The lights distract too much when you are trying to remember what sticks out about it, but it is nice and fast and not stop and go and makes for good racing.

Qatar is a godawful track that no one would race it if they weren't paid to do so. It combines the even-circumference corners with perfect straights. It is, aside from Motegi, the worst track on the calendar.

Marquez was dirty. Luthi should have protested.

I'll continue to beat this drum: Marquez has been given a pass because he is a Spanish star. Twice now he has dodged a bullet that should have affected his title run.

I'm more interested in ianonnes comment regarding wanting an engine like Marc's

Me too. Ianonne was the guy everyone thought has some special motor 2 years ago but he still is able to make those turbo boost passes.

Dorna and HRC really want Marques to be the new Rossi. I think he is more the new Pedrosa. Let's take a look in 4 years.

it makes me happy that stoner got third. chicklet tooth fucktard.

it makes me sad that the ducs are so god damn slow. reminds me of ferrari in f1

i am indifferent about spies' blunder. could have seen that one coming a mile away

i am happy that the crt machines are going to make the season enjoyable. everyone loves a good underdog story.

that is all.

Spies was very underwhelming the whole weekend.

after his 2nd crash in practice, i thought to myself, "no way is he going to do well in the race with 2 crashes. i bet not only his body, but his confidence was shot this weekend. sucks because id like to see him do well, as would a lot of other people.

Spies was very underwhelming the whole weekend.

He did lead the times for most of the first session and only gradually dropped off up to race day. Understood that the race is the only thing that matters but it wasn't until late that he started to falter.

Spies needs to get the fucking lead out... Also, that pass by marquez was bullshit.

His AC in his hotel room wasn't working damn it!

BTW spies interview:

A) thinks the racing will be closer with the bigger bikes but will be the same guys winning.

B) 800s was tough bike to ride becaus of his size. And the 1000s will cut down the advantage the smaller guys have.

MIDGET THEORY
And boom goes the dynamite.

Marquez could have made it into turn 1 just as well without the extra couple of feet that he took away from Luthi, and as a Grand Prix rider of his caliber, he should know this. So I'm voting with the mob on this one... it was dirty.

As for the motor... not sure that Marc Marquez has any speed advantage other than just getting a good drive off the last corner. Here's a speed chart from the MotoGP website.

Nah bro, he was just testing for this.

Maybe Rossi will pull a Schwantz and retire mid season. I sure hope this weekend doesn't put a damper on his big car race he's getting ready for.

First race without Adriana, and he has arm pump? Hrmm.

You know they race at night in Qatar, so a lot of time to kill in that hotel room. I respectfully suggest he might have got in a little bass fishing before the race.

:laughing

rossi already blaming his poor showing on the bike.

and his engineer hinting that the doctor is past his prime
:(

i still want to believe that rossi will find a bike that suits him and claim his title of best/most winningest motogp rider in history but with every race, it feels more like an impossibility.

Pasted his time? More ike a couple guys names stoner and jorge came along. I have no doubt he would still running with them and winning, just not as much as we have seen in the pasted.
