MotoGP at Laguna Seca?

In regards to noise restrictions at Laguna:
They are allowed five spectator events per year that are not sound restricted. However, sound curfew is at 5:00. This year, however, the ALMS cars will be running into the evening - I'm not sure how they got around that. In addition, there are five "promotional" events that are not sound restricted. An example is the "Pre Historic" weekend before the Monterey Historics. Sound waivers can also be purchased for about 10 grand. The MotoGP rumor is not that far fetched and I am surprised Eddie Lawson's name was not mentioned as well. Stay tuned.

Ken Sr. Lost $3 Mil of his own money for the last one they ran there. Not sure how the numbers work but I'd have a tough time doing that too.

I have to say, that is the first time I've ever felt optimistic about that being a venue again. Damn you... now I gotta sit here and wait for '05 to get here!:laughing
 
There ya go . . . I had a few conversations with the inner circle at Laguna six weeks ago about this and was told it was not to be made public. Glad to see the cat is out of the bag. Now Gill and the crew need to make some big decisions. These are not insignificant changes to the track and who pays the bill? Certainly not Mazda. Keep your fingers crossed.
 
the US needs 2 motogp's....a west coast event, at Laguna.....and a east coast event at Barber.......

I had a press pass for the 93 GP at Laguna.....it's a cool event...hope it happens again.

Why... they take it out of BARF, Pasnit, and K.A.T.T. revenues! :shhh What is ya, ignerint? :p :laughing
