Hey BARF,

Looking to buy a whole new everything top to bottom (gear wise) any recommendations aside from Cycle Gear?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

What's wrong with Cycle Gear?

Nothing, I'll be stopping by there first but was curious. My old man used to take me to this store when I was younger but think they went out of business. Was just curious if there were other stores around I could also check out

If you are talking about Road Rider yep they closed down a while ago unfortunately.

You can check out Santa Clara Cycle Accessories.

Darn! That's the one, loved that spot. They had all the selection, bummer.

I'll check out Santa Clara cycle also, thanks!

Dainese store in SF. Brand specific of course.

Most of them did.

Depends what you're looking for, but what comes to mind for me (besides Cycle Gear) are:
1. The Dainese D-Store in San Francisco
2. Santa Clara Cycle Accessories in Sunnyvale.
3. Various motorcycle dealers around the Bay Area, including Scuderia West, BMW dealers, Harley dealers, etc.

Johnson Leather on Polk St. in SF, if that's the direction you're leaning. They do repairs there too'

Cycle Gear has way more stuff online than you see in the store where it's a lot of in house brands. I order it to "my store" where I can try on and not have to deal with online returns. I actually usually just go in to order so I can eye F everything in the store and my store gets credit for the sale.

I love this approach.
It's the perfect blend between on-line shopping and supporting the dwindling brick & mortar resources we have left.
