Hey all,

Looking up the different threads about motorcycle shipping, I see a few that pops up a lot. CTS (Churchtown Shipping? Not sure if the same), Federal, Motoshippers, Haulbikes, and UShip. Has anyone done work with these companies recently? If so, what your reviews? I am shipping a brand new bike from east coast to here.

I did moto shippers from Mt. View to Seattle. 5 bikes actually and all showed on time and in pristine shape.

I think at an individual level, they all have a high probability of shipping your bike successfully, regardless of whatever anecdotes we hear. I used UShip and it was flawless, for whatever that is worth.

So I decided to go with Motoshippers based budman's experience but now I am having issues getting a hold of them. Sent a message to them about 24 hours ago w/o any response back. Just tried to call them but it went straight to voicemail so I sent a follow up text. I know it is Halloween but have any had contact with them recently?

Edit: The last response I got them was about 2 weeks ago when I texted to check on the status of the timeline.

Hope that gets corrected quickly.

Where are you shipping from/ to? I dig Tim's service (Motoshippers), but if they don't get back to you I can put something on the wire.

Just an update. I called again that same day and it rang until voicemail. Decided to leave a voicemail instead. Ended up getting a call a few hours later. He apologized for the delay as well as appreciated the patience. Turns out the truck had some issues and was down for about a week or so for repairs but the bike should be picked up tomorrow and be here sometime next of end week (hopefully for both). It is coming from South Carolina to Daly City. Will update this thread if anything else pops up. Hopefully that will be when the bike arrives and nothing else.

Interested in thread. Might need the service sometime soon'ish.

I recently moved and had my bike shipped with the rest of my stuff in the moving truck so not really the same thing as just moving 1 or even 2 or 3 bikes.

My bike was the only thing I told them to be extra careful with. I had a couple dings on my night stand I did not really care about to go through the official complaint process. Even though my bike has a number of scratches from offs at the track, if I found a new ding that wasn't there before, I would have threatened violent retribution. :laughing

Just an update. The bike did actually arrive the week after the quoted time (so the beginning of the week prior to thanksgiving week). The driver who had my bike had a flat on his truck which delayed him about a day. He was able to at least call me to let me know about that. Minor damage did happened with the bike during transit but they were able to resolve it right away.

At the end, I would recommend motoshippers for the cost and if you aren't in a rush to get your bike. Just keep in mind that depending on the driver, you might not get constant updates (I.E. extended ETA/issues delaying the pick up/drop off).

I've had excellent service from Federal. AMA members get a sweet discount. If good enough for MotoAmerica.....

Good thread. Consider leaving an AirTag in the bike when shipping to be able to somewhat track the progress. If buying one sight unseen, program an airtag, ship it to the seller and ask them to stuff it under the seat or something.
