For those of you that have taken the test, was the riding part easy? Should I practice alot ahead of time in an empty parking lot before i go? I have just heard of some people that failed the riding portion but i wanna be on top of my game.

Just listen to the instructors and you'll be fine. It's pretty easy if your any good at riding. We had a chick who ran into a wall once and drop the bike another time while in the class pass the test.

they said in my group that if u drop the bike its an auto fail. its a fairly easy test tho. if you didnt have trouble with the exercises, the test will be no problem. take it slow, as speed has nothing to do with the test. keep it in control and you'll pass no problem.

i missed like 4 points out of what i think was a 45 point test for the motorcycle; i missed points for not doing the head turns correctly when going thru the cone slolom (spelling?). i got a 98/100 on my cage test, got marked off for putting the car in neutral when i was comming to a stop - u r supposed to leave it in gear with the clutch out until the car is going like 5mph..... stupid outdated rule back when brakes were not what they are today :laughing just had to brag :teeth

I failed the first time i took the last riding test, but they let you have 3 chances to pass it.

2 people had not passed the time i took my riding MSF test. When I was leaving with the first group. I saw those two people were still standing next to their bikes.

I think the instructors give you a few more chances to practice and retake the test your last day there.

I did really bad since I was riding a long wheelbased cruiser, which didn't help with the slalom. And i think i missed 10 points for knocking over a few cones in the process.

And i still passed. I wouldn't sweat it.

don't worry about it. I tanked big time the first time I took the test, psyched myself out and got -24 pts. I think part of it was the person that went right before me didn't do so hot and I kind of followed, doh.
The instructor (Enchanter) let me retake it a week later and I only got docked 2 pts. :D

The test is comprised of the skills and the exercises you learned that day and the day before. If you had no problem getting to the test, then the test should be a breeze. I had never ridden a motorcycle before I took the class. Throughout the day, the instructor kept telling me I was looking at the ground, and pointing out my obvious mistakes. Those were the points I concentrated on fixing. I made sure I didn't do that. I think I passed with a -1 or -2.

Good luck!

Just don't dump it and you'll do fine. The course is pretty straight
forward and basic.
