My AAA insurance is set to review. Thinking to switch to Progressive

I have Progressive. Medium deductible. I crashed my bike last year.
At first they wanted to total it out, but I got it from a good friend who is no longer with us. I asked them to work with me to get it fixed. The Rep came out and saw that I had some farkles on it that increased the value and it had some scratches and such before the wreck. Those things together allowed him to not total it and pay me for repairs.
They even waived my deductible.
The Rep checked in with the shop often and gave me updates.
I have had no issues since.

I am very happy with my coverage and their service.

I have had Progressive for at least 10 years. I was an idiot 4 years ago and got a dui. Progressive kept me on and lowered my premium with a good driver discount. I couldn't believe it. I pay more for uninsured and under insured than my own coverage costs. I though I understood underwriting and such until this happened.

I had AAA until they sold all their moto policies off. Mine was sold to AMIG (American Modern Insurance), with whom I recent had to file a claim due to a hit and run. Nothing but first rate service, surprisingly, from a firm I'd never heard of. Although could've just been the devil dog brotherhood (Adjuster is a Marine) lookin out for each other.

I just switched my truck to AAA and asked about the bike. She told me that AAA contracts out to Progressive for bike insurance. I had Progressive for awhile. No problems but I switched to Geico and saved $500/ year for 2 bikes.

I'm leaving AAA for insurance, but keeping AAA for auto and motorcycle road side assistance. For me, I found the best deal for my car with AllState and motorcycle with esurance.

Progressive can blow me. I had an accident and they were supposed to be working with the other party, but after repeated calls to my agent with absolutely no progress, he just stopped answering my calls or calling me back. They closed my case with no resolution, and when I called the main phone number for the company and explained the issue, they would simply connect me back to the same fucker that was screening my calls. I finally got his direct supervisor's number, and when I called, he also screened me, and I left a message which he never returned. So I started blocking my number when I called them, and whataya know, they start answering their phones again! The final outcome was they never got me a red cent, and I was swept under the rug. I will never deal with them again. Plus, if I ever meet the woman who plays that obnoxious c*nt on their commercials, it will take all of my strength to not strangle her.

That generally resembles why I will never have anything to do with Progressive.

Progressive Sucks.
