I am sure there are some Martin, but I have done most that have an in an exit in different locations.
Appreciate the wisdom on dead end road. Totally hear you.
Hitting 8 months in a couple days. PT lady has stretched me out to once every two weeks.
That seems fine really. The one part I miss is her stretching my leg. I find it easier to relax into it when someone else is applying the tension. Her tests yesterday showed increased strength and a 1 degree in range of motion in the two standard knee in and bending the leg like you are crossing them. I am working on that scar tissue bigly and want to get to the point where I can sit and cross my leg like a normal man.
Gym work is progressing and I am getting stronger. Both the leg and overall upper body.
I hit a bench press weight I have not done in 15 years. That is awesome but the arthritic shoulder hates me for it. Almost constant pain there

Still working on some options there.
Last night I thought about taking a pain med just to be out of pain for a while. Nah.. deal with it.
Watched a bit of a Zumba class the other day. A couple of the participants were regulars in my class. Thinking in a couple months I will be able to join in on that. Still a ways to be able to do something on the floor. It is embarrassing that getting up from the floor takes some sort of help. Not necessarily a person but something to help support me. Sucks being old.. really sucks.
There is no doubt that having to mend has put me back in a spot where exercise is a life priority.
One that demands 6 days a week vs the 2 or 3 pre-pandemic status and real upper body work vs light weights. I think part of it is life has been so boring the gym is such a wonderful diversion I have been totally sucked in.
Planning on another ride tomorrow and probably one on Monday too. Give it a longer go to see how I feel after 150 miles or so. Then the decision on whether to ride to Mariposa for the Pit Ho Rally or drive. Thinking it depends on how much doing near 200 miles takes out of me. Will I be a sore wreck the next day or just normal oldish sore which is not a big deal.
