Need a recommendation for textile overpants

Completely agree! The Tourmaster's are budget overpants and it shows in their longevity. The velcro bars in the knee pad pocket to position them were okay but occasionally the knee pad could push through into a new position. I blamed that a little on them not being designed for a sport bike riding position (particularly on the 848)

Also check out motoport.com. They have 2 types of pants: 100% Denier 1000 or 100% Kevlar.

Another vote for Aerostich Dariens. Often available for $100-200 used, and they last for ages.

Really easy on and off. I like them more than a full stich since the suits (and aerostich jackets) fit me funny an I like changing jackets for different weather.

Overpriced polyester pants. This is not a disco. That is the problem with almost every overpant mentioned in this thread, little abrasion resistance. Most overpants are designed for convenience and comfortable but barely qualify as gear.

If he can find good used ones then it would definitely be in his price range. The reasons you stated are why I didn't go full Stitch.

I have a pair of British Motorcycle Gear overprints. I'm a little portly, and they fit best if you're not a 140 European jockey.

I'm not a huge fan of Motoport, but their Ultra II Cordura pants are actually a pretty decent product. They use the same zipper arrangement as Aerostich's 1-piece Roadcrafter suits, which makes them very easy to put on and take off. No idea why Aerostich doesn't use the same arrangement for the Darien or AD1 pants. The 1000 Denier Cordura provides better abrasion resistance than you'll get almost anywhere. The Cordura is un-lined, which means that pants flow a lot of air. Without the add-on wind-proof liner they'll be a bit cold on the coldest days and when wearing jeans they'll be pretty hot on the hottest days but for most of the year they're perfect. This strength is also their biggest weakness: they're not water-proof. You can buy their water-proof liner, which will keep you dry, but the pants (and anything in the pockets) will still get wet. The pants include quite a bit of armor, which also makes them somewhat bulky-looking.

I went with the Firstgear HT Overpants. They do have the double zipper on the side to vent. Great pants. They are great on cold days, maybe during the heat of the summer the HT Air Overpants would be better.
I got the HT Air. I'm on my second pair in 11 years. First pair's zippers failed.

I use the liner in colder weather. I just took it out this week for 50+F mornings.

Knee/shin pads are not well-placed for me and hip pads are weak.

Big side zippers allow easy on/off over work clothes.

I’ve been wearing these for a couple years. I like the easy zippers you can operate by feel, fast in and out even in boots. Warm in the winter over jeans (50° to 40°) with the rain liner and large removable vent panel and two way leg zippers for summer. I wear them year round (weekend warrior) even around town, they are so easy to get in and out of. I did upgrade the knee armor.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I ended up going with the Alpinestars Drystar Andes V2. They showed up today and they fit great. Sitting here at my computer wearing them, they feel pretty comfortable and tick most of the boxes I needed.

Kudos for wearing pants at the computer.

I've had the same problem when I ride in shorts with where to place the knee slider.

I always thought that's what "All the time" meant.
They are not very comfortable for sleeping.

What size are you? I lost some weight and have 3 pairs of new textile pants that don't fit me.

PM me. you can have them if you fit them.
