Neons on Bikes

Leave him alone! I like the lights on the bikes! I'm also a fan of Harleys with lots of chrome. I enjoy a scooter ride once in a while as well. It's the trifecta of evil on BARF! If I tell you guys I've cruised around town in jeans you'll probably be in front of my house with pitchforks and torches.

its ok... there are times where i wanted to put a giant uni-horn on my bike and travel the world with rainbows in mind.

You guys are horrible yet funny, Original message again for those who cant read but yet somehow manage to post was if Anyone knows a good technician that can install neons on bikes.

just do it yourself, its really not rocket science, get to your battery, hook it up, zip tie to desired place. Paying someone else is a waste

I am close to you in Oakland. I can install it for you. $200, lights included. What color do you want them?

Doesn't it need some sotr of resistor?

You do for blinking lights, like turn signals, since LEDs draw less, they blink faster. These don't blink so no. I was going to put a electrical connector on the circuit so he could unplug it when he wants to go into stealth mode.

if you must do it, do it yourself. Cyclegear in Pacheco sell the kits (they are hidden deep in the back of the store and you have to ask quietly when no one else is around) :teeth

First you gotta figure out your Club colors......gotta bling yerself proper.

Also, gotta say it. The #1 "oh my god I fucked up and should have never put this accessory on my bike" accessory....drumroll.........NEONS.

Best course of action.....don't spend money on them in the first place.

Neon is for wanna-bee's, REAL men rock 8 ft. flourescents, just get a reeeeeeeal looooong extension cord. Whaile yer at it, put some cards in yer spokes, so it sounds like a real motorcycle! :rolleyes

Semper Fi! :thumbup

Gsxrryder99 - Youre a famous guy on BARF!

Sweet! Is everyone in your new crew going to have lights? You could start a parade.

Seriously though. This is easier than changing oil, just plug in strip lights onto your battery and zip tie them to your frame. LEDs won't draw that much.

FWIW, LED's are not the same thing as neon. :p

Listen grandpa, I know you probably assumed that he wanted glass encapsulated neon on his penny farthing, but it is 2010. Technology has advanced.
