yesterday (sunday 9/6) I saw a really bad accident at the intersection of the skyline and the nineth, around noon.

By any chance, does any of you know the rider and could tell us how is he doing? That would be really appreciated. Can't stop thinking about the poor guy.

Story: riders A leaves a parking lot. Riders B arrives, don't see it and hit it really bad. Body 10-20 away from the bike and really bad noise from the rider. A has nothing.

Thanks,

Amazighlol

Not listed as a fatality, no helicopters. So that's good.

:wtf What??

Rider A was leaving a parking lot. Riders B arrived on the intersection and hit the riders A's bike. B was projected 10-20feet away from his bike. Riders A walked to a bench to sit. Riders B was laying on the ground. 3-4 firemen trucks/ambulance came.

Thanks for the info Rightcoastbias!!!

I hope the guy will be fine then!!

OMG - that sounds horrible! rider A sounds like they were in shock. hope rider B is okay and best wishes to heal up quick. do you have info on what bikes they were on?

You might be talking about Brian Washington and his friend who were T-Boned at the intersection of 4 corners. Brian is fine and his friend was taken out of ICU and into a normal room yesterday. I called Brian at the scene and he was shaken up. I spoke to him yesterday when he was leaving the hospital visiting his friend. He is doing much better. No breaks or fractures.

Wait...edit...Brian has no breaks or fractures..I haven't got the skinny on his friend yet. Being in Idaho can suck sometimes on info...LOL

Well that's a weird accident. :wtf

Hope everyone gets good soon.

Thanks Marcy!

I think that we were trying to talk to Bryan but he was in shock.
Glad to read that his friends left ICU. I hope he is in a better shape than his bike :(.

Were were pretty much traveling in the same direction. I was moving at a slower speed to turn into the parking lot and the other rider was moving fast. T-boned from behind.

other rider is okay and should be out of icu.

thank you all for the best wishes for recovery.

This has got to be the worst description of an incident. Coming into the lot... leaving the lot.... at the intersection... T-bone... going the same way... makes no sense.:dunno Good luck explaining this to the insurance company.

Anyway, glad the riders are relatively ok. :thumbup

One cannot be t-boned from behind. :afm199

Unless they're calling it something different nowadays.

As I'm reading it my understanding is that rider A was leaving the lot and rider B was going north on 35 and hit rider A (presumably rider B was not intending to go into the lot, but was heading to the 4-way stop intersection with Hwy 9).

Someone who was there please confirm if that's the correct clarification.

From bwash's post, I'm thinking it's more like one rider was on 35, turning into the parking lot, while another rider traveling the same direction failed to slow down for the turning bike ahead of him. Rear rider t-boned front rider, who would have been close to 90* to the direction of the road since he was turning. "T-boned from behind" seems like a perfectly apt description of the situation.

My description is probably less accurate than Brian's. We were talking 50-100meters away from where it took place and I had a partial view on the whole thing (I was talking to my friend who is tall, he was standing between me and the intersection where everything took place).

Sckego got it!

i think like this where the car in this picture is another motorcycle who was turned completely 90 degrees

and the bike was behind him

I think bwash85 already described 'his' incident.

"Rear ended", "Asspacked" or whatever; but if he was hit while turning., T-Boned applies.

This is what Brian said to me on the phone. I told him to come in here and tell everyone what happened because there were questions as always :)
