Now's my chance! (Loud Horn

too bad they need an air compressor to run

That's why they're so loud. But a quality set of electromagnet horns from Fiamm or Hella will get the job done as well.

Also, I've seen the Stebel Nautilus broken apart and the two main components separated. This is done, usually, because of problems trying to fit the horn on the bike as it is. It takes some tools and some skill, but it can be done. One of these days I'm going to buy one.

Oh shit.. your gonna scare the life out of someone with one of those loud horns, they may swerve into you if you use it at the wrong time.. :laughing

Have you ever heard the horn on a BMW R1150RT? The first time I accidentally hit mine I almost pissed my pants. It's as loud as a car. :laughing

I have this...

It is not much louder than my stock; but it has different tone on it - more car like (or 'taco truck like' :rofl). Here is the short video...

I dunno what's wrong with everybody else's bike, mine has a horn that sounds just like a car, which seems quite normal to me. What do the others have, little ringie-dingie bicycle bells or something?

Some have wimpy horns that sound like a road runner - meep meep. :teeth

Yours is a, uhm, a 'classic bike,' like when bikes were bikes, and horns were horns. From a time where men didn't use 'pore cleansers.'

If you've actually got a decent loud horn on your bike, you're in the minority. Most bikes come with small, wimpy horns. You'd think that a big bike like Honda's ST1100 would come with a decent horn(s). No. The horn they put on it is just one of the two horns used on 1980's era Honda Civics. Same part number on the horn. Only just barely adequate. Kinda pathetic, really.

BMW, on the other hand, actually puts some decent horns on their bikes.
