Ya know, I could never find out why people bashed the styling on the 999 and 749. I love the look and performance. I think the 1098 was Ducati placating purists. The 999 was original, extremely well performing, and much more streetable than the 1098. I've ridden both quite a few times, on the track and street. Trust me, that five grand they took of the price tag went somewhere. The exhaust did suck on the 999's though, I give you guys that. Heavy and ugly
