man all these ducs make me want to get a real job and buy a new bike, but I have to say I still like the classic old ducs better then most new ones. doesn't anyone own a late 70's 900

Oh by the way everyone, norcal ducati will now be having meetings in San fran, once a month on Monday nights at Benders, which is also sushi and mojito night. I'm look for a co-host to help me occasionally.

My Present WSMC Race Bike

Just got back from Willow Springs last night from the first race of the year with this bike I built myself. It ran pretty well considering this was its first outing on a track (Page Mill doesn't really count!).

It's a mongrel, or hybrid:

- Verlicchi or Cagiva F1 frame
- F1 tank, seat, fairing
- 750SS motor, wheels
- 40mm Dellortos
- Staintune exhaust

my new bodywork just arrived

the design is derived from this:

i got rid of #27 and the australian national flag.

the fairings are packed really well and the paint is good.

i'll try to find some time to put them on. hopefully the fitting is alright.

not really, on any count, but that's in the eye of the beholder...plz don't post that kind of thing in here again. There's an umbrella girl thread for that, and the rest of the intrawebz. If you choose to post up photos of Neil Hodgson in a cup, all oiled up and straddling a bike, on a regular basis then we might be able to come to some sort of compromise about your skin pix. In the meanwhile this thread is for bikes only. Thanks for following TOS.

i bought them on ebay. the seller is indeed from hong kong. i did some simple photoshop to erase the number and the flag, and he custom painted the thing based on my drawing. the turnaround was quick. i was very skeptical about the quality at first. but so far i'm pretty happy. not sure about the fitting tho...

Search on Ebay - there are tons out there.

Some have had good luck with fitment, most have complained that things don't line up right.

They usually run about $500 a set.

The plastic is the brittle stuff, not flexible like OEM body work, or even race bodywork.

YMMV.

I can spot HK special bodywork from a mile (or in this case, from pixels away!)
