Well, eventually one needs to call it "done", and I think I am there.

There must be something wrong with me, I'm more excited about a husk of a Ducati than any of the other extremely gorgeous bikes out here.

Maybe it's because those bikes that people have already set up are beautiful, but the project could be anything. It could even be beautiful! :laughing

I feel strangely the same... I'm very excited about this bike--much moreso than I would a brand new one straight off the floor. I like a liitle project and this should be a fun one. Can't wait to get it out on the track. <giggidty>

Gonna post a build thread?

There's actually not much left to build...heck, I don't even get to do the valves on it. Just a little fiberglass work, some painting. We'll see what else comes to mind though. I want to ride it before I start tinkering too much. I might get in a small project with my dad and his CNC machine before Spring. I think I'm ready to do rearsets after having done a few other minor exercises with him.

She's mothballed in the garage now, no longer being ridden. But she's still mine, and always will be.

Wheels, a motor, a place to sit. Imagine riding on the cowl of a P-51D 10 feet off the deck. That's what it's like.

My Present WSMC Race Bike

Just got back from Willow Springs last night from the first race of the year with this bike I built myself. It ran pretty well considering this was its first outing on a track (Page Mill doesn't really count!).
Cheers

Sorry, don't have many pics yet. Here's one more.
It's a mongrel, or hybrid:

- Verlicchi or Cagiva F1 frame
- F1 tank, seat, fairing
- 750SS motor, wheels
- 40mm Dellortos
- Staintune exhaust
