John Koczinski on the Cagiva, 1993. I'm not sure what is more unbelievable; that he was teammates with Mladin & Chandler, or that he won the race on a bike that wasn't supposed to be competitive!

Doohan, 1994. I think he had just won his first world championship the round before, but I remember reading that he let Kevin keep the Number 1 on his bike for his "home" GP.

Can't change competition number during the season, gotta wait to the next season starts! '93 champ Schwantz was wearing the #1 plate for the entire 1994 season whether Doohan approved of it or not.
