One off carbon case covers?

id just take it to machine shop and mount up a few standoffs and then bolt on whatever median you want for a slider

u think all of it would stay in place? thats a lot of bending on much longer bolts in a crash. maybe itd cause the case cover to leak after a crash.

Stand offs like weld some threads to the OEM cover or like a spacer for the bolts to make a surface for a plate to sit on? I worded that horribly, I know lol.

Maybe cheaper and easier to just by a spare sidecover?

The cover is about $350 all said and done, per side. BMW OEM parts, especially hard to find ones, are insanely $$$$$$$.

i dunno

but reverse engineering gb pos covers

are just that, a standoff with a longer bolt

a basic standoff bushing with plastic shroud in front of it, im bitter about gb because their standoff mounts crack and fail - before it was even crashed/tipped over

the standoffs are 1/4 maybe 1/3" or smaller standoffs, they just need to give the room to bolt onto a median in front of the metal cover

not thinking bout long ass thing that stick out like frame sliders, think offsetting 1/4 inch from the case so another thing can bolt onto it

To be creative;
Hand shape the missing section portion out of closed cell foam. You can find a scrap pierce behind a shopping center.
Once you have it hand formed, coat it with JB Weld. Over lapping on to the original section.
After it's cured remove the foam.

Either that or learn to weld.

YES! JB Weld to the rescue lol!
I've seen some pretty amazing stuff made with JB weld. Seems quick/cheap/easy(?)
