Any of you tech nerds have experience with one?

Anyone got an invite to buy?

Been seeing this phone talked up for a long time now. It looks like a great phone for the money.

Actually buying one seems to be a cat-mouse game with their invite only program. Hopefully it will go on general sale in the near future.

Chinese made, good/great specs, very similar to the Oppo Find 7 which you can buy right now for 500 bucks.

The 1+1 is quickly approaching vaporware status if they don't start getting them sold faster.

Seems interesting, but the whole invite system makes me wonder... I'm thinking their yields are low, and possibly buggy HW.

The G3 out of contract is only $569. That's my next phone.

I thought you were gonna go for that Find 7 with the fuckoffHD screen?

I requested in invite months ago and haven't heard word one, so I wouldn't get my hopes up on getting one direct from the manufacturer. But, even if you could, they appear to be having QC problems; there are numerous reports of the lower part of the screen developing a yellowish cast. And OnePlus apparently is denying RMA claims for it. :thumbdown Google "oneplus yellow screen".

There are suddenly a bunch of "like new" and "NIB" units on CL. Don't know if that's because they shipped a bunch recently, or if it's because people have heard about this and don't want to keep the units long enough to find out if they're affected by the screen problem.

The Find 7 is looking like a better deal. But, you can't get 'em. I almost bought one the day they released even though I didn't need it and am quite happy with my Nexus 5. Regretting it, since they're no longer available and I could probably get a good premium on CL for it.

As somebody else pointed out, though, the LG G3 has virtually identical specs/price, and is available. That's the best phone on the market right now, IMHO. If you don't need the quad screen, the LG G2 is a bargain at $400.

LGG3 is out for purchase and has the 256x1440 screen. I checked it out today, and will probably pick it up sometime this weekend. Although I hear some apps do not scale well to the native resolution.

OPPO has still not released the QHD phone!

Yes, the res is overkill and past the point of diminishing returns.. But I like that the phone is near physical size as my S5, and has a 5.5" screen with thin bezels. I also like that the soft keys are programmable like my old G Pro..

What I didn't like is that at max brightness, the luminance is much lower than my S5. I would guess at least 30 cd/m2.

I never got into the G2 because of the non-removable battery, and no SD card slot.

The rear volume rocker will take some getting used to..

Why not Nexus 5?

<- HTC Amaze. It's a great phone, but the battery life is absolute shit.

I'm looking for something in the $200-300 (but def. prefer the lower end of that spectrum) range on Swappa. But then I heard about the OnePlus One. Not much more for a brand new phone if you can get an invite. Seems like people with invites and phones are buying them and selling them at a premium for those who don't have/can't get invites.

I'll probably go with something like a previous gen Samsung Galaxy or previous gen HTC One. I'd like as recent an OS as possible though. What is the latest? KitKat? Or have they gone to something that starts with L?

I have latest note 3. It's good. kitkat. battery life is amazing.
but I don't like the amount of bloatware apps. trying to create some bullshit ecosystem thing.

why can't verizon get a good & cheap phone

Verizon will only activate phones on their network that are Verizon branded and pre-loaded with Verizon bloat/block/shopware apps.

The Nexus5 is multi-network GSM/CDMA/Tmo/ATT/Sprint/Verizon capable but Verizon won't activate it on their network because it comes with vanilla Android and not their preferred bloat/blockware.

The same probably applies to the this new One+One phone.

Same reasons why I passed on the G2. No removable battery and no SD Card slot. I've got a 128GB card in mine, and i'm halfway filled with music + photos. I don't believe in storing my stuff in the cloud and using bandwidth to access my stuff, so I like keeping everything local.

Got my G3, and LG Watch.

Was going to pass on the watch, but it was 50% off with the purchase of the phone.

So far so good. Display is obviously not as vibrant as the overly saturated S5 SAMOLED. I prefer a more standard sRGB gamut.

at this point i'm on hold, still using an old ass S3 on Sprint.

I think a switch to T-mobile is in my near future, I still get a work discount and TMO's expansion of LTE has improved their quality a significant amount. Also, the free music thing is enticing, because 90% of my data usage is Google Music streaming. As soon as they add that as free service, I'll probably switch (or I'll just ditch Google Music and go to Spotify which is already included)

I'm leaning toward the Oppo Find 7, the non crazy HD one can be had for 400 bucks on Swappa.

Interesting. I've used every phone that's currently out and my opinion the best phone out there is motox.
