outdoor pizza ovens

I have a pizza oven shaped like a fish. Got it at a garage sale and the sellers said they got it from World Imports (I think)
Open mouth and it has a blow hole.
What do you do? Make a fire in the back of the fish and hope it heats the entire fish up?

yes, that's the fish I have. I will listen and watch the youtube video and thanksverymuch.

her voice is nice.
I don't think I'll be making pizza anytime soon.
Maybe I'll grow succulents in it....

If I can sell a bunch of my machinist tools (pre-retirement sale), I will buy the electric one.

I didn't think about trying my Weber electric grill.I'm going to ask our scrap metal guy to get me a piece of 1/2" steel that will fit it. The retail prices for pizza steels are absolutely ludicrous.

So my ooni uses a pizza stone inside. Those might be cheap than steel for your weber?

Can your weber get to ~700F? That's about what i think you want for cooking pizza nicely/quickly.

I have a pizza oven attachment for a Weber kettle grill I held onto though I don't have a weber kettle grill currently.

I'd be happy to give it to any BARFer. It needs firewood to get to the proper temp.

Indeed it can! I posted a pic when I first used the grill, and the 600 degree thermometer was pegged.

Some of you must have a lot more storage space for cooking implements than I do! :laughing

I try to be strategic with what I get for cooking, there are tons of things that'd be cool but by the time you've gotten all of them there wouldn't be much room left in the house. :laughing

Thanks for the pizza stone and steel links folks, it's appreciated.:thumbup

Then I am biased from my person experience of having broken several :)

:laughing

We bought a rental 10 years ago and found a round pizza stone in the landscaping; must have been there for years.

My daughter and SIL still use it.
