PAGING BAD DAD

not that anyone cares, or maybe some do, who knows, im gonna explain why n what i think is lame.

its simply this, i dont know barf, ive been a "member" for a very short time. since i first became a member i was beyond excited to have a "place" where i can ask legitimate questions {at least in my mind} n get honest feedback. a place where i can possibly meet up with people n ride n learn from. now we all know i didnt start off too well on here, but of the handfull of people on here that have always been decent n somewhat pleasant to me, BAD DAD was at the front. a faceless list of typed words on a screen that felt like a familiar/friendly face in a crowd of strangers. and now for WHATEVER REASON that face is gone, {wether by his choice or not}.

THATS WHAT IS FUCKIN LAME!!!!!

but in no way am i pointing the finger at anyone, especially if BAD DAD "pulled his own plug"...{please no masturbation jokes on the 'pulled his own plug' line, haha} it jus sucks that a person that seemed "genuine" like BAD DAD was so unhappy about things on here that it made him want to leave. and ill be the first to agree with the logic of..."if you dont like the show, then change the channel". but to me its still fuckin lame!

It sucks to lose a member, I came here for just the same reasons you did, but got hooked, this place is awesome, alot of great, and not so great people all gathered in one place to chat, fight, laugh, the list goes on. This may be just an online place, but it's a place where you can still call it home because it feels just like home. I just hope things get resolved, there's plenty of people that don't like seeing all this arguing, and it would suck if we lost more people due to it.
 
you aint lying, i love jumpin on here n choppin it up with people, {choppin it up = "talking"}, but the back n forth of some jus seem like a bad episode of "the brady bunch" or something. not that i havent fell victim to it as well. at times it jus seems like a few peoples mission on here is to stir the pot of shit.... like the guy walking around the club, instead of dancing or talking to a female, jus walkin around "mean-muggin" n tryin to pick a fight with every other guy they see. almost like a very bad case of LITTLE MANS COMPLEX!!!

if you stick around you'll see there's a fairly high turnover.

people leave barf all the time, mostly without any drama.
they go quietly and usually you don't even notice they're gone.
some barfers, for whatever reason, make a lot of noise leaving.

no big deal. people move on. let them.

when the time is right we'll leave too.
 
i dont know how to do the thing where you copy someones words n put it in your thread to show youre responding to it..... but MIKE23W, i definitely hear n agree with you. but he was always cool to me, and that kinda shit means somethin to me, even if its no big deal to others. he didnt have to be kind, he didnt have to answer my questions, he coulda jus made smartass remarks to me n told me "cool story bro", but he didnt.

look at the user's post and click the "quote" button at the bottom right of the post.

it'll copy the user's text into your own post (you should see the text enclosed in open "[ quote ]" and close "[ / quote ]" tags)

What HH said, check the first page of the postwhore thread, threads usually get merged in there when they either go off topic, or are resurrected from the dead (pulling out a very old thread) when mods said to not do so.
 
yea, jus saw it in there. that sucks, kinda like learnin that your kid jus got accepted into a drop-out continuation school. he's not finished, but he's definitely on his way out!!!

I thought "take it PM's" was so that people could speak their minds without violating the TOS.

So are we to understand that if a PM is sent to a MOD, it will be sent to all MOD's?

No, he made an appeal to Budman and Dennis fulfilled it. Marco was not suspended, he chose to leave on his own prior to any of this 'drama' going on. It appears he's saying otherwise on fb which becomes him vs Budman, the owner of the site.

I can see how you might think that, but I see it used mostly when folks are derailing a thread with personal issues.

PM's are covered by the TOS ( you still need to be respectful toward your fellow barfers) but we don't monitor them. Think about it, does it make any difference if someone is threatening you, whether it's in pm or posted ?

Read the TOS for clarification

I lurk the sink a lot. What I usually see here are a bunch of good discussions that start off well, but go south when people aren't able to accept that other people don't hold the same opinions as them. Name calling ensues. Editing of posts ensues. People fixing posts ensues. Overuse of emoticons ensues. People get butthurt. Others get banned. And then worst of all, the whole lot of shit that people drag around with them because they can't understand that someone else has a different opinion pushes it's way into some other potentially good thread and ruins it.

Read this entire thread again. What I described above starts early, builds evenly, then completely takes over the tread ruining something that is interesting and MIGHT have been educational to many of you.:nerd

I've met Bill, and he has every right to think highly of himself. He's a stand-up guy who runs his business his way and is successful in doing so, even in an economy that has put some of the weaker players on the bench.

It is becoming clear that you lack any of those qualities he demonstrates (integrity, self-esteem and the ability to create success).

It is also becoming clear that you come here to make a colossal ass of yourself trying to start shit.
