If you check out a few threads, you'll learn the history (and see awesome pictures) but in a nutshell: Khan, barf member and Pakistani native, has now run 3 (successful!) tours of Pakistan with barfers in the past two years. As many more members have shown interest in future tours this poll is to guage their availability. So it's not a ride to PK (tho khan did do that in 2011) - this is about how long riders would want to be on tour in PK in 2015 (ie. fly there and rent bikes).

For those on the fence about this trip, I would strongly urge you to DO IT! There are no guarantees that this will happen again after 2015, and this is not the type of trip that any of us could simply do by him/her self. Moin is an amazing human being, a hell of a rider, and an absolute blast to hang out with. Commit to the trip now, start tucking money away, and you will have no regrets.

The trip makes more sense to me now haha.

My first time on a motorcycle was actually in Pakistan back in 6th grade. My uncle, against my dads will, put me on the back of some dual sport in Karachi and took me up a couple flights of stairs at his apartment complex.
It was awesome.
I think that's what started my obsession with bikes.. which is what my father was afraid of

That's a great way to start on a bike! My uncle had Harleys and I got to ride ONCE as a kid - but that was enough

If you can swing going on a tour next year, you really should. Lunchbox is correct on all points. Having a native PK rider lead the tour is really priceless... not to mention his invaluable connections with government officials

Then continue on to Urumqi, Gansu, Xi'An, and Ulan Bator.

I know! Start in Pakistan, go to China border, through China to Kazakhstan through Almaty, by lake Balqash, to Karganda, and back.
