Pashnit forum dead?

Hacked by Mr. Robot? Actually got a warning from my virus program when I clicked on the Connect link.

No idea, but seems like a lot of the content on Pashnit is freely accessible. Great resource when planning a route and trying to get the low down on the roads less travelled.

Okay, it didn't used to be. But, I haven't looked in five or ten years after being put off by it.

Concur. I did, however, spend the $25 for the maps of CA which I found exceptionally helpful. Can you map a general area yourself? Of course. However, as I had recently moved to the Bay Area I found it an excellent resource to help me prioritize my riding.

The sales are excellent as well. It's definitely a resource worth subscribing to, IMO, as his pitches are infrequent yet meaningful.

My experience has been nothing but positive.

If you can make a living doing what you love then I say more power to ya:thumbup. I wonder if he still rides that Hayabusa everywhere?
 
Pashnit has had (infrequent) problems with it's servers in the past.
Could be what happened.

The Pashnit forum is free to view and/or join. Just like here.

The Pashnit moto roads however is a subscription based access part of the Pashnit domain.
Pashnit owner Tim did a lot of work building the moto roads section of Pashnit. Tough to find a better, more thorough description of each of the rides he plots. And he has plotted a lot of them.

The moto roads section has a preview of what's inside by opening a few of the routes to view.

The Pashnit forum itself is not really localized having it's roots in central California. Since having grown to a national and even international membership.

I joined Pashnit about the same time I joined here.
I know the owner (Tim Mayhew) who is ex marine and a true moto head.
He loves to ride, and to share the ride.

Tim used to work for my ex husband (years ago) in Sacramento. He posted a photo of my ex's Big Dog Chopper on his website so I had to see it. There was a little drama, nothing much and then someone said ... if you want drama you should see this board called BARF ... yeah, you can thank Tim at Pashnit for my being here. :)
 
Spoke to Tim on FB a few days ago. He is aware of the issue and is working on resolving it.

Hope it is up soon.
