Paul Weis RIP - CalBMW (CalMoto) Parts guru

Had a good chat with his Dad.
Man in pain for sure. :(

Nice turn out.

Pics later.

Godspeed Paul. :rose
Friends and family showed some love today.

Memorial Photo's

Paul's Service was yesterday... it was nice and of course somber.

A nice showing of family, coworkers and friends.

After many came to Fred's for the celebration of his life.
That was uplifting and sad. I had good chats with his Dad and best friend from high school.

I will let the photo's speak for themselves. :rose :Port :rose

Thanks for the pictures @Budman.

I worked with Paul for a few years and was a customer for many more prior to that. To say I was Gobsmacked when describing my reaction upon hearing of his passing would be an understatement.

Many spoke to what a great guy he was and his devotion to his kids. He was that and more to many. His service was SRO and Fred's was so packed, moving around was a challenge :) He was definitely loved by many.

Godspeed Paul and thanks for everything you taught me. Condolences to your family and many friends.

Thank you for sharing the pictures Budman :thumbup

I was sad to not make Paul's service but happy for the enormous turnout.

A couple more that slipped by.

Man, I am sorry to read this thread. :RIP Paul

I met Paul about 28 years ago, when he was part manager at Peninsula Kawaski. This was before I started riding motorcycles. I was heavy into my modded 440 jetski. I bought so many parts from him, including the cylinder, pistons, intake, reeds, carb to mod it to a 550 reed.

He had pics of him jumping the surf with his custom painted 550 all over the parts counter. He always encouraged me to come out and ride the surf with him and his buds in half moon bay (when it was allowed) but I was too intimidated.

The nicest guy. I ran into him at Costco once, after Peninsula Kawasaki closed and he told me that he was at California BMW.

Ride on, Paul.

I was thinking of Paul the other day. Cannot believe it's been three years already.

I should tell a story. We'd order painted parts for Triumphs. He'd come to the shop and look at the part and two weeks later, it'd show up. Wrong color. He was color blind. It was frustrating as hell but funny at the same time.
