PHOTO SHOP or the like...

Hey ChopStx that's pretty cool info about MS Paint, and here I am with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop to resize pics when MS coulda done it the same. But Photoshop does have it many many ups! :)

Re: Re: Yeah, but...

I've tried doing that and it just cuts the pic. I want to have the focal point of the pic not just the background. I'll try it again when I get home.

Thanx ;)

FYI!!! MS Pain DOES resize pics. Go to IMAGE->STRETCH/SKEW There you can chage pictures sizes based on percentages. If you know your current resolution, do the math.

If you have ...

I'm not sure, but try to see if you have Microsoft office tools! I work with pics a lot and have to change either from tiff to jpg to bmp.. etc. and this just came with the dell that i work on.

Start-Programs-Microsoft Office Tools. See if you have Microsoft Photo Editor or Imagaing. You can hook up a scanner and Scan as well with these programs. Also you have whats called character recognition, meaning if you scan a typed page it creates a file (temporary) that has the words TYPED. Like a doc file. The Photo Editor and Imaging work great for resizing. In Imaging . Go to Page ... Properties... then Size (You'll also have compression and resolution) ( Resolution you cange from 200x200 dpi to 300 x 300 dpi) and really get the kind of sizing that I think you'd like to achieve.. (where the picture is not cropped, distorted, but really do make the picture bigger) one thing.. when resizing you might not want to go from a small pic to a big pic because you'll loose the quality. Best to work from pics that have a high resolution and make them smaller.

I like Microsoft Photo Editor. Just to go Image then Resize. You can allow distortion, change units to metric, and have nice effects that you cand do. You can also change the type of file here too. And you have Crop. You can crop the picture vizually with your mouse as apposed to trial and error system that sometimes works doing the math changing the units. I'm not good with numbers and props to the people that are good.

And yes, there is Kazaa, but it sucks. Some people have a great time with it. But I've had to reinstall everything numbersouly and I have to again because I got a Trojan Horse that I can't get rid of.I got some prgrams off of that, if they didn't have a virus they had like special Pass Codes and what not. Also if you buy a digital camera. They provide you with Free Software to view the pics. But very minimal things you can do to the pic. Depends of the Free Software.

Good Luck

MS Paint

To resize pic (not crop) in paint...

Open picture, go to Image ---Attributes. There you can change the units of the pic.

By George I think I've got it!!!

It looks like MS Paint did what I needed. I still want all the other cool options of Photo Shop, but I got what I needed for now :teeth
