Pics of Pit Ho Bliss 2026

Just left the museum, stopping for gas in Atwater and 2 young boys walk up and ask questions about the BMW. Their faces lit up when I asked them if they wanted to sit on it. I made them pull out their phones and got pics of them on both sides of the bike.

I wonder when they will notice the sweatband on the brake reservoir. I made sure it’s in their pic.
Your ambassador work with our future riders should be applauded.
I recently hoisted the front leaving a stop light, purely on the command of a random 9-year old boy.
Ya gotta plant the seed when and where you can.

I have a gallery of pics going back 20 years of kids on my bikes. Are they near it and looking? Offer to let them sit on it. One of them now has her a Ninja 500 and got the parents to join. Dad has an Indian bagger (sweet Jesus, it's a behemoth), and mom got a Husky 401. I learned the hard way to keep a hand on the throttle if you have them start it and blip it. Twice, once the SV650 and another time the FZ1, pre-teens pinned it and didn't let go. The FZ was at night and the can shot sparks. Parents thought it was part of the fun. We all lot a little hearing...

Helping someone when first using a throttle and clutch is challenging. I was lucky because the Yamaha Mini Enduro clutch and throttle were so user friendly. It is SO intuitive…. now it is easy to forget how intimidating it is.

Just a quick thankyou to Budman for all the work that went into the rally. I had a good ride Saturday with mean dad in the local canyon. He wanted a mellow ride, so we slowly went to Coulterville. On the ride back, he pulled around, and set a good pace through the twisties, including beating the flanks of the poor little 450 single on the uphill side. I think he was studying on the ride there lol. I left on Saturday afternoon with what was probably "bottle flu". Turns out when drinking with the big dogs, the old dogs should stay under the porch. Nice meeting you all, hope to do it again!

I've done this on the freeway when a car pulls alongside, I look over and some kid is grinning ear to ear at me. I drop a gear and take off just for their enjoyment - or is it my enjoyment?

Our Saturday loop took us through some epic scenery. Magnificent minarets, gigantic granite domes, lakes, damns and twisting ribbons of asphalt weaving through the mind blowing landscape.

Sunday to SLO
Lunch in Parkfield was cut a little short due to a fire breaking out in a dry creek bed behind the cafe. Locals jumped into action initially with shovels and a couple of tractors. Cal Fire air tankers came in within 20 minutes, dropping a couple of rounds of retardant. Fire trucks came shortly after with water hoses. Ground crews armed with chainsaws and hand tools were then dropped in by helo at several spots around the perimeter. No one was hurt.

While enjoying some shade under Hwy 41 I looked at the map and realized I was a couple hundred feet from the James Dean crash site. And then one last rip down one of our favorites on the way to Santa Margarita.

I remember when I first touched a bike throttle, I didn't even know which direction to turn it :facepalm You don't know what you don't know I guess :laughing

Good stuff Go Go. Wish I had it in me to ride with you guys on Saturday.
Looks sweet!

And... adventure in Parkfield. :wow

The BoOkfAce thing is cool.

There is a small fire dept next door to the cafe, Feds?

New intersection 41/46, with the impact site now shaded ?
Is Parkfield still accessible from this location ?
There could be but it didn't seem staffed that day. The trucks came in from the south and possibly the west after about 20+ min.

That shady bit was on Cholame Rd as it crossed under Hwy 46 just before the crash site.

It's still accessible. The Fire was contained pretty quickly.
