*Pics* Stan's Techday/ Preride on Hammie

What happened?? :(

Several people stepped up and offered help with the jetting. Thanks again for that, guys! However, from what I could tell from my test ride in the pouring rain it didn't correct the 'surging' problem. It did it twice on my test run. I'll be picking it back up from Stan's place today (as long as he is home) and riding it back here, so I'll have a better idea of how it is running. :)

Looked like a fun time, but one quick question. Who's idea was it to crack open an engine while the entire area was filthy and dirty? The cases and frame of that Honda look nasty. It's not really that hard to take a brush, some soapy water, and some degreaser/brake cleaner to a bike before doing something serious, especially when you're going into a "clean" engine. Just wanted to point this out so someone else doesn't think swapping pistons is a piece of cake and gets some crap or debris floating around in their motor.

Jeff was changing the top end on his street legal CR500 and I don't think he cares about dirt/debris floating around his motor. He just runs it anyhow.

Looks like you guys had a blast!! Me and some friends of mine passed a group of bikes up on Mt. Hammie Saturday morning... was that you all? Looked like there was a bunch of Tards there... although I don't remember seeing neon green flames... (Hi Ken! :wave)

Yeah, the most I've done is change brake fluid and oil before. It was actually a lot of fun to get so dirty. :devil :laughing

Wow, what a day. I'm finally over my hangover and am back to being a functioning member of society. Damn, Minty pwned me with a 'mystery' drink. :nerd Thanks again Stan for keeping my bike safe overnight!

Wow.. what a great turn out... Props to ya Stan and all for making it happen :thumbup

:smoking

Fun first tech day

It was fun getting to see everyone that my wife chats to on this forum :blah.

I can safely say I know how to put in a jet kit now :thumbup.

Good times!

...Didn't you have to be present to learn that? :wtf:twofinger

:wtf :wow :wtf :wow :wtf :wow :wtf :wow

I was in shock that you were wrenching. Typically you let me do all the swearing at mechanics. I worked on making convertible beers for everyone (that's where you pop the top) :thumbup

I had a very successful tech day, everyone had convertible beers :teeth
