wonderful pics, Mr budman! :thumbup

I’ve been relying on seeing new Pit Ho private subforum posts showing up in my “new posts” feed, but Mr dravnx just reminded me that doesn’t work. :facepalm

fist things first with the new home, but you’ll be missed! :angel

couple my pics from my early departure on Thursday:

Carrizo Plain sunrise this am …

and the “plan B” bike, and Hurricane Road campsite … :ride

I really need to add some moto camping to my travels...

A few pics from the ride on the rare occasions when we stopped.

More fun on tap for tomorrow.

Nice...!

Raining up here. Hope you all have good weather.
It is supposed to stop tonight so your return should not be wet.

Have fun!! :ride

Supposed to be in the 70s and partly cloudy in Taft today, so I think we dodged the rain.

Right on...!!!

two wheel tramp will be riding through it to catch up with you all. Assuming the wet stuff does not sker her. :teeth

i rode about an hour south. between traffic and rain it’s a wet mess and i can’t see shit. heading back to sf as i don’t have my heavy duty rain gear and i’m already soaked.

sorry not sorry.

^^ just say no to rain. :x

been said it’s a “long way to go to sit in a parking lot,” but as has also been said, the camaraderie is worth it … :party

we do ride, also—the gang leaving Pit Ho Headquarters at 10:03 am, heading for Ojai on Saturday morning … :ride

I was just returning from my 5:00 am Saturday morning Carrizo Plain sojourn, to watch the sunrise:

and the last of the old moon … :clown

Very nice John. :thumbup

I had a fly by from a very wet two wheel tramp. I was impressed she even got on the bike to begin with given the forcast.

Nice to catch up for a bit and it gave her a Pit Ho Stop on her way back to SF to warm up. :thumbup

Always good to see my friend Cootz too!

Had to include a blow up of her swing arm. Quite the charactor. :laughing

Nice pictures.
John, how were wildflowers in Carrizo?

Last pics of my bike without scratches :')
After 6h drive, $70 metal detector, 45min hoping rattlesnakes don't like the rain either, I have my phone back!

Sorry again for the mess yesterday and thanks a million for the roadside mechanics, moral support, gentle pace ride to San Miguel etc.

Have fun!

those aren’t scratches they’re patina.

Juicy ride this weekend

Excellent weather though

Not the monument valley you're thinking of

I was convinced this sign was for irony, but they literally had all of these things. The Thai food was not convincing, guess I should have grabbed a box of 9MM just for funsies.

Lunch in SB on day 2

After we got below the fogline on 33 heading north, back down into the valley

These clouds did in fact deliver, thankfully after we were parked for the evening and letting Cory win a few rounds of pool

One last shot of Carrizzo Plain from 58 on my way home today

:thumbup

found one nice patch on Hurricane Road, but it was mostly post-peak—nothing like the year we were both at that Motobirds adventure rally. here’s a pic from this past Thursday:

A few snaps from the weekend...

1. Arrived in the nick of time to make the off from Snellbux
2. Parked and prepped after a splendid day of riding; already for day 2
3. Various parking lot dissections of the day's ride
4. Beers and contemplation
5. Post taco lunch in Santa Barbara after some fun times over Tepusquet and Foxon Canyon
6. Classic BARF rally evening dinner
7. On the way out of Taft...
8. ...down Hwy 33...
9. ...past the oil fields
10. At the foot of 229, Rossi's Driveway

Nice pics SLO.

Looks like Corey's Mrs. got into the :twofinger vibe from the dinner photo!! :thumbup

Good times and some serious hooning was had this weekend, my new rear tire was thoroughly scrubbed in and will probably only be good for another 1000 miles at best, but I just really love hearing that LC8 roar.

It was definitely a little foggy on the top of 33, kinda hard to see the lane closures a few times...

AP1GczN9ygoA4toQJM63v-lP8OlDLHZa-C8aDzxC9-cBft6_f70kWpOzu37bWgBMdGSt5KKZ6ef18W_kMdusTJzDyijVvqWPqZaoBbOaJZTgVRrMjyM5cX_ZFnDdQY374nVy8p4VkZiSR2_VDGWk7wPhQ4PBlA=w1076-no-gm

One such closure, almost had enough time to snap a shot before some damn motorcyclist was honking at me.. :laughing

Unfortunately Lockwood Valley Rd was closed...

It was really pretty on the eastern side of 33, wildflowers, green all around and the clouds for atmosphere

Saturday dinner was, at least in my uncultured opinion, quite good. The drinks were rather large. I think someone got a photo of the whole group?

Despite their mostly broken neon sign, it appears the Oasis does sometimes spend money on infrastructure.

All alone heading home

Caught up to Nonemoreblck before he peeled off to take the more direct option home, then I caught up to Dr SLO having a conversation with his Garmin and he was kind enough to let me tag along all the way to Hollister. So much for riding a sedate pace on the way home :ride
