Planning to hit Home Depot on Blossom Hill tomorrow

Steal things from the same store? Because, I'm not sure that setting fire to the same place that you're trying to steal from, is considered "causing a distraction". :laughing

Makes sens to me. I doubt they expected the whole place to catch fire, but you can count on them being hunted down if it is true.

no water supplied to the sprinkler system.... it needed a monsoon, and got a CA drought.

i wonder what the insurance company has to say about the defacto missing sprinkler system?

Another comment further down on Reddit speculated that it was more like after the fire overwhelmed more than 2 zones, the fire department cut it off, but the whole explanation didn't make much sense to me tbh. Something about pressure in the lines dropping to nothing and just being a waste of water and I was like...in that situation, is ANY water trickling in really a waste?

With a dozen fire stations within 5 miles and a 5-alarm call out that out put >100 firemen on scene. Figure all those engines and ladder trucks pumping >1,000 gallons per minute each- I could see the argument they sucked all the pressure out of the water lines for blocks all around.

This is the 4th or 5th arson of a Home Depot in 5 years! Seems like pattern :dunno . I wonder if this one was an employee ( again ) ... we shall see tomorrow !

My statement only makes sense if you have an easy choice of one over the other. I've only lived in places that have easy access to several instances of either devil.

Yeah, the 415 does not have good access to either. There is a Home Depot in San Rafael and a Lowe's way out in BVHP.

I tend to get most things at Ace Hardware or the local lumberyard.

That was a rude awakening to step out of the house and see that smoke column rising in the neighborhood.

All those jobs lost because one idiot can't make an honest living.

I always feel bad for kids that have stupid names, or regular names with stupid spellings. It means the kids are going to be raised by idiots. I created my username as a mockery of bro language and nobody's ever said a word about it. :laughing

I had a momentary facepalm there when I thought he was Filipino with that stupid ass name, but no, he's from Guam. Dodged the ethnic shame by 1500 miles.

(I mean I suppose he could still be ethnically Filipino given there's a large population of Filipinos living in Guam but one can hope...)
:laughing

I'm an overweight middleaged male caucasion, so...shame is all I know. :laughing

LOL, do you guys actually feel a feel when someone of your same ethnicity does something publicly acknowledged?

“He lit the fire in the Home Depot, tried to steal tools, was prevented from doing that, left the Home Depot,”

duder couldn't even steal from a burning building.

He’s been charged with thefts from several stores including Office Max, Macy’s, Sunglass Hut, Guitar Center, and Kohl’s.

sunglass hut still exists?! i had no idea. i remember in my late teens wanting to buy sunglasses from sunglass hut but literally nothing was cheap enough for my budget. i'm sure that's still the case :laughing

Sunglass Hut, a different model of retail store.
All restocking is handled by home office, they decide what sells and where.
One cannot order anything, all about YOUR luck in instant gratification for your time spent shopping, in that particular brick & mortar.

they all have similar layouts, the blue stores are simialr too. I'm sure fire saftey.plays a large part in the layout.

once something gets going though, there is a direct line of cardboard packaging from one area to the next. i dont know what the sprinkler system looks like in operation, i assume it would need to be a monsoon to extinguish anything like whatever started this

Building sprinklers are generally designed to allow time for evacuation and not preservation of the structure.

However, if there is no water in the sprinkler system, that is another conversation.
