Plants vs Zombies 2

Is the Old West map the last one in the game, or are there more after that?

Those guys are easy to kill. You just need a double pea shooter taking him out from long distance, or if he already passed your defenses throw up one of the punching doohickies right behind him.
 
Only two lanes for zombies to walk? SAY HELLO TO MY LEETLE CANNONS

^^^ The problem with the cannons is that they usually only take out the front most zombie even if it's those little fuckers that get shot out of their cannons. It sucks when you want to use your cannon to kill one of their cannons, but there's a piece of shit zombie in the way.

You haven't fired the cannon with plant food boost yet? It's like nuking them from orbit...:p

Yes, I have, but I prefer not to use the plant food if I don't have to. I've already got 4 slots for the plant food, and even that's not enough. I always end up having to waste one when another plant food thingy flies by.

Instead of killing zombies with it, I usually just cash out by feeding the plant food to the double sunflower.

I don't actually use the cannon much, but it made for a nice photo. ;)

I like to use the corn thrower boosted with plant food, puts buttah on all heads!
 
I love the little plant food boosts.

I wish the single / double pea shooters had a more distinct effect from each other. The triple headed one is pretty creative.
 
What are the numbers on the bottom?

800, 1200, 1000.

And what are the coins good for? I keep going to the store and they want real money.

You'll see when you get far enough. Those three are like little power ups that kill or push zombies away. The numbers are how much it costs to use them. That money comes out of the coin total that you earn as you play.

I rarely if ever use those things. I feel like I'm cheating when I use them. I've got over $30K banked right now just from playing. So, the cost to use them is not an issue for me.
 
So, I guess if someone sucks and is OCD enough, they could easily be motivated to pay real money for enough coins to use those things.
 
Yeah...I have like $50k banked. I've taken to spending it on plant food early on (like, right after first sunflower early) just to make challenge levels easier and plant more expensive (and effective) plants. Haven't really figured out anything else worth spending coins on. Those power ups suck. Completed all the levels and unlocked everything, now I'm just working on getting all 3 stars on all the challenges.
 
I have enough stars to unock the Western levels, but since it's the last level in this game, I'm kinda saving it until I can beat every level and collect every star that is available.
 
OK, I finally got bored of the pirate levels and moved on. The Wild West levels are actually fun. There are a couple of nice twists that make it interesting.

Challenges 2 and 3 after you beat Wild West are nearly fucking impossible. Short of buying the mimic plant I can't see how to beat 3. No planting anything for 90 seconds means that even with iceberg lettuce x2 the first zombie gets through and costs you a lawnmower.

You can't zap them with the Lightning/Head Squeeze/Zombie Flip?
