The pic in my avatar, was how I used to ride 84 :shhh Which is why I recently decided to chill of the streets, since I ride like a ass up there....

The only reason I'm not leaned all the way over is my friend on the bike in front of me (who took the picture while riding, both hands off the bars) slowed down to do it.
:wow :confused

Personally, I'd rather connect 9 and Pine Flat by Empire Grade to Jamison Creek to 236.

Jamison Creek is waaay fun, particularly on a sport bike. Uphill is easier but downhill is great once you've done it a couple of times.
Actually, what is really fun is to COAST down Jamison Creek ;) :teeth

Re: 84 the better than 9!

Well, I could not disagree more. I love 84 west from Alice's down to that traffic light and back. I love it much more than 9 because it's tighter. Those clean 30 mph turns that you can take at 60+ and every here and there uneven pavement or rough surfaces just to keep you on your toes.

Give me that stretch of 84 over ANY stretch on 9 any day!

Coast racing down Kings Mountain Rd is fun as hell too.....:shhh

I love 84 more than 9 coming from either Highway 1 or Pescadero going towards Alice's.....

Very scenic and tranquil but too bad the twisty roads get in the way of riding......

You lie, asshole! Being track-only is blingalicious, that's why you're converting! :laughing :twofinger

9>84!!

There's no way that the bottom of 84 could ever beat 9!
Tighter, what about jumping through the big and little redwoods on the bottom of 9, below that tiiiight 15mph!
And how is the turnoff to 236 for a sweeper?
9 just gives you more love!!
9>84!!

I still pick 84

although I will grant you that those twistees below 236 are pretty good (except for those damn tar snakes).

That sweeper by 236 is not bad but I'm waiting to discover a CHiPpie parked in that 'rest area' just beyond it (on the far side) as I'm sweeping up hill at 70+

The series of chicanes on 84 just outside of the 35 intersection, if you hit them right, can be orgasmic. (Yes, I sometimes have to change jeans afterwards!) And the series of 25 mph turns just by the light at the other end of the run is also better than ANYTHING on 9.

I guess we disagree.
