I checked your settings myself, and they do appear correct. I'm assuming you've gone through the normal routine of checking your spam folders and blocked accounts settings with your email provider? At this moment (and I'm no tech guru) it seems like the issue is on your end.

Hmmm ... same problem here yesterday. Hotmail too. Digging into the hotmail settings to see if something's changed.

Huh, interesting. Let me know if you two dig anything up. I can pass the word around and see if anyone has heard anything.

This is a corporate disease that has now spread to Microsoft mail servers including hotmail.com, outlook.com and live.com. It appears they are just assuming that anyone running a small mail server is a spammer and will pretend to make exceptions but won't really.

Here's one guy's story and his corresponding solution which I implemented for my own mail server.

Basically you want to relay your mail through an established mail service. I have used Mailjet and Zoho Mail for this. Let me know if you'd like any further guidance.

I also did not receive an email for a PM I received the other day. Seems related to what rodr has posted. I'd see the popup here long before I saw the email though...

Confirmed, Hotmail is now filtering emails from BARF.

Thanks, Tim. I was thinking it was probably time to loop you in on this one.

Thanks, my eyes started to cross reading up on the solution :laughing Anyone know if GMail has this problem?

i dug through my hotmail setting, but couldnt find anything unusual. there was one option to add " safe emails addresses" but i dont know what address the email notifications come from for this forum

Or go to the dark side and fire up a new account with Gmail. :)

I could be wrong, but I don’t think that will work. Those settings are for preventing messages from being sent to your Junk Folder, and have them placed in your Inbox instead. Hotmail is filtering our emails before they get to you.

That solution was meant for BARF email administrators, sorry for the confusion. Not much you can do on your end except complain to Microsoft.

Gmail works fine.

i have one for my phone but try not to use it for day to day stuff

Yeah, youre right

Gmail does not appear to have this problem.

Thanks
