really? so with an m1 it goes down? wierd :confused

I just reg'd mine last month $55. I think my insurance quote is cheaper. Is that 112/yr or quote for 6 months?

112/year. one of yours is street legal? do you have to register a track bike? i was told that it goes down a little if you have an m1 and also years of experience

I just picked up a 47cc FF yesterday for $280 over at Jade City; the guy even threw in a bottle of Redline 2-stroke motor oil. FWIW--the 47cc half-fairing was going for $210, the 49cc FF (slightly larger body/frame than the 47cc models there--that's why I went with the 47cc, since it's lighter for just a 2cc tradeoff) was going for $380--maybe more, depending on whether you had the "I'm desparate for a PB and am not willing to wait" look.

FWIW #2--the two 49cc models Jade City had were the one with regular dual-headlight setup (forgive me for not knowing the model name of these PBs) and the cat's-eye one. The owner did say that he would "drop" the price on these to $350 (yeah, right--I'm sure if you flashed enough cash in front of his face, he'd give you that price right then and there) in a couple of weeks.

And like someone else had mentioned in another post, the Jade City ones come with no warranty but they do set up the bike and make sure it fires up before giving it to you. They also get rid of the cheesy itty-bitty plastic fuel filter and replace it with a decent metal one at no additional cost.
