Pool table as a dining table?

There used to be a pizza place in Stockton - Naughty Nick's - that served awesome pizza. They had about 20 pool tables that they could set up for use as group eating tables. While they could seat a large group, you had no room for your knees under the table and it was borderline uncomfortable to sit at them. For a group outing at a pizza parlor it was acceptable - at home every night? I'll pass..

My concern would be that the pool table might not accommodate chairs very well.

+1 we use a pool table as a poker table and it sucks ass. Everyone is constantly bumping their knees.

Convinced the parents to buy one when I moved home from college. Once installed my dad said he would have made the kitchen and main room addition remodel about 2 feet deeper to accomodate the 4+ feet around the table thats needed for cue sticks. Didnt plan on having a pool table was the issue.
