I'd love to get the 2500 bucks back. It's a great bike in great condition. 2008 Triumph Tiger 1050, 29k miles. Putting it here before I post in the classifieds or trade it in on a new bike. I will never buy another used vehicle for this exact reason. CA DMV can suck my balls.

No! It's not something you can fudge your way through? How about scan docs online and register without going there? Just....out-villain them.
 
DMV can be annoying but a "statement of fact" where you massage the facts as needed has cleared up a few headaches for me in the past.

For around town Id get a hooligan electric bike, but thats me. I am a total idiot on a scooter...recomend. whats the budget, i know a plated 230 for sale.
