Nobody, his is not diesel... But I'm not sure what they would counter. Probably simply for insurance purposes.
The volkswizard in the UK just bought a new GTI/R and strangely discovered a "mileage reduction device" . In the above video he travels like a 49 mile stretch and the odo (pre zeroed) started giving him like 9 miles traveled when he arrived and .. 6.9 MPG
(obvs wrong)
So the point is to go in the OBD and get the true mileage values from the inside. (For example he found a value that tells him the car has 30k miles but the dash was shown him 14,5k)
The device literally attaches only to the LCD instrument cluster
