Latest project: I'm removing my old gutters and replacing with new. My brain wants linear perfection so badly but a 40 year old roof is not providing the optimal surface for that. :laughing
It's much too hot outside today so it'll be top of the list tomorrow morning. No power tools needed beyond a cordless drill so I can be out there at sunrise. :banana
 
those falling rock signs? something of an understatement. on the way to the grocery store earlier today - came around a corner to the whole road lit up with emergency vehicles. boulder the size of a washing machine (and then some) in the middle of the road. would have been cool to see it come down. not ‘up close and personal’ though.
 
Pretty sure when I got my haircut the little vietnamese lady who was waterboarding me washing my hair was pulling on my head and popping things in my neck. im not 100% better but goddamn i feel like 75% better.

I drove Calaveras road today in search of Tarantulas. I saw one crossing the road - I hope he made it - but no more. Of interest were a number of signs stating "Hill blocks view" on blind left hand turns. Duh, I was able to see through many hills (blind corners) because signs were not present to tell me that I could not. I pulled onto the shoulder, completely off the road for an asshat in a Honda Fit that proceeded to drive totally on the left side of the road around a blind turn. I couldn't blame the driver, because of course there was no sign present about the hill blocking the view.

I've been up since 2 staring into the void dreading starting my day.

I'm dreading the drive to the track.

I'm dreading pulling into the track for the first time.

I'm dreading seeing people at the track.

I'm dreading how many times I'm going to cry, at the track.

But I need to be at the track, for myself, for Joe, and for others.

Guess I should start my day.
 
I’m sorry for your pain koi. Grief is a mirror of love. I imagine there will be many tears shed today.

Might be tough but I hope you celebrate the joy of the good times. Some tears are OK.

That sounds like a shit weekend. Hopefully, there will be some sharing of good memories among friends to honor Joe.
