What's next?

I've got a weird opportunity I'm trying to figure out a business model to make worth it as a SAHD gig
 
So I actually am fairly proficient at most programs. I just hate the corporate lingo garbage and feel like Mel. I just am tired and want to retire, move to Mexico, and eat tacos.

When I graduated college I was at a family function and someone asked me what I did at my new job. So I started to explain that I worked on mitigating the impacts from various projects on sensitive habitats and species.

My dad chimed in with "Oh look at Mr. College graduate big word guy." I was the first one in my family to graduate college and while I was proud of it, I never flaunted it, but I guess I was using some words specific to my profession and he didn't understand them.

I learned two things that day.

1. My dad can be an asshole
2. I don't use the big words unless I have to. Nobody wants to hear that you "Engineered an immediate and lasting approach to minimize potential for audio variance from industry-accepted standards that will result in precise results-driven results". They want to hear "I tuned your guitar dude"
 
I don't think you need "courses" to handle a daim 2-Auth on a wurk phone.

that said, I think someone, like a colleague should be available to help you... for free. Not "like" an IT person.

When I wurked at that other place I had to damn explain IDEs, fetching of libraries, paths, ... then types, streams and building to a daim Camadian. Did I think he's "not good for work"? Not really... I did get annoyed at the time spending helping him though... he JUST wasn't THAT proficient with that side of the technology as I was. :dunno Porbably a manager in a telecom somewhere in Torontonadia RN.

p.s. you just need that moment for something to 'click' , so that you use the work stuff.

Old timey Hand mirrors... Rare and harder and harder to find uncracked.

Find a way to fix the glass or just stockpile them but theater is paying stupid money for them as props.
 
I've now had two completely trashed calls from people... One from the hospital and one from "the field".

Neither meant to call me so I'm curious how I got dialed but... Not I'm waiting on the unicorn to buzz me for the triple.
 
Mom let me know Aunt Eloise died today. I hadn't talked to or seen her in 23 years. (I'm a horrible child.)

I have fond memories of her from when I was a kid. She's had a lot to handle in life: a severely disabled daughter, Carissa, who has cerebral palsy and who's required a lot of care deep into adulthood, another child who ended his life, and so on. She is at rest, but her family has lost their matriarch. I can only imagine how gutted her children are, and I feel the worst for Carissa, who can't even verbalize the pain she has right now. I remember her wails at my granny's funeral.

Oh Reama, I’m so sorry. I know you had not seen her for decades but that hardly minimizes the loss.
 
Oh and life is precious you never know what tomorrow will bring.
