I'm having serious problems with my aftermarket hip. Currently walking with a cane and can't get in and out of my boogie van. :nchantr
Ain't no way in hell I'm letting them dig this hunk a metal outta me. :x
On the bright side, my neck is finally starting to feel better, so there's that. :thumbup

Sorry to hear that. My Terminator knee is passed 13 years now. Doc said good for 10 - 15 and it would have to be done again.
Looks like I might make it that long :afm199 Sure the hell not looking forward to that. I am sure that breaking the same leg has created some wear and tear on it. The stretching shit hurts the knee where it did not hurt before.

I am working on the leg to get it stronger... that is the only way I can think to extend its life a little.
Fuck I don't want to do that again.

I agree 100%... but this ain't that. My hip has a "notch" in it, and it's getting worse.
Doc says "this hardly ever happens"... lucky me! :nchantr
But yes, I gotta get back on my program and drop some weight... that will at least help slow down the wear and tear.

My hip hasn't been right from day 1... but surgeon kept saying "just give it time". :nchantr

It wouldn't be surprising that your leg break would heal off-kilter just enough to aggravate the joints on either side... but just give it time! :laughing

I'll get thru it... don't have much choice. I just have trouble accepting that I'm old and broken now... WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!

“Oil Service” with a count down. Also email from the dealer. Made appointment. Showed up at noon.

Dude checks out my car. Sorry sir you have low mileage and are 4 months early on the service requirement by time. No need to service yet.

Well that sucks.

I said I drove all the way over here so please just look at the fluid levels and wash it.

Ai fail.

They said sure. An 1-1/2 hr of wasted time. :x

funny, something similar happened to me, too. Only I didn't have a countdown.

since my car was bought used, so about 7 months of owning it I went to the dealer for an oil change - he said it's not showing up on the Dash, so I should be fine... :dunno anyway I was okay not to waste the waiting-time or give them money so....

since then mostly I changed the oil by myself.
once it went to Misters Expensive in SF
 
It seems like I spent half my adult life trying to explain maintenance and warnings lights to people.
"My low oil light is on, but I've been ignoring it cuz I'm not at the mileage on the sticker yet."
"My service engine light is on, but I've been ignoring it cuz I had a service done a while ago." :rolleyes
