We just found out Pork Chops has stage 2 kidney disease, in addition to her existing thyroid issue. She's lost some weight and has been restless and peeing a ton. So now she's going on prescription renal health food in addition to her thyroid medicine. The vet reevaluated her age too. They think she's about 12, rather than 10.

Oh man. She’s a beautiful kitty. I’m sorry to read about her health troubles. Tell her to lay off the MeowcDonalds!

Sunday morning is for chilling outside, and she's not a bit bothered by me wearing white socks and sandals. Well I don't think she is.

Sorry to hear that.

As a broad guideline, kidneys kill cats. We've lost two of them to that over the years. We were giving daily fluids to one of them at one point, she managed that really well. We hung the IV bag off the chandelier over the dining room table.

2 of our cats when I was a kid finally died to kidney disease.

My senior cat Ralston lived quite happily for about 4 years with kidney disease. He’d lay in my lap every night on the couch, and my IV bag would hang next to me from a floor lamp frame. I am certain the process was more uncomfortable for me than it was for him. He was a very happy cat. That said, I’m sorry you and Pork Chops are having to deal with this. Hugs to you both.
