Post your best pussycat photos here! (FELINES ONLY!)

been using world's best for over 10 years, doesn't seem that dusty or trackable. It clumps well and seems to dry the poop out well so clean up is fairly easy. I didn't realize it was flushable and thought that cat poop shouldn't be put down the sewer. I scoop it out and put it in a doggy poop bag then in to landfill.

I've been using unscented ScoopAway multi-cat formula. Unfortunately the stuff that Costco sells is not unscented and I can't deal with the smell. Sundae had some weird coughing going on a week after I brought her home so I switched to the walnut-based World's Best for her box only. She is the only one that will use it, and it made no difference with her coughing so once it is gone I'll go back to regular ScoopAway for her. I like the walnut stuff, and it works well, but the other cats won't use it.

Also, in today's episode of Weird Things Mercer Eats, I woke up to a huge pile of puke on the bed this morning. It looked rather odd, so I picked through it and found the plastic wrapper from a 3lb package of wild Dover sole, complete with paper label still intact, that we'd bought at Costco the day before, and a big piece of Saran Wrap that had been used to cover a bowl of cat food. They looked like they'd been swallowed whole, as they were not shredded at all. We'd relocated the can to the cabinet after Mercer got into it once or twice, but then he figured out how to open the door so Eric added a magnetic latch to it. It's really strong, so much so that it kind of hurts my arthritic fingers to open it, but apparently it's not strong enough. We might have to go with those child-proof latches next! I'll also be getting some of those silicone covers so I won't have to use plastic wrap anymore. I've never had a cat this problematic where food is concerned! I used to think Apollo was bad, but then Mercer showed up and said "Hold my beer..." :laughing

I am now a firm believer in this stuff called Naturally Fresh.

When we got our newest cat, we decided we did not want to use the litter we were using in the past (can't remember the name, but it was one of the "major" brands). We decided to try the above which is walnut based and love it. It clumps well, very low dust and it does not get dragged all over the house.
We loved it until my soul cat Honsom (RIP) started having gastrointestinal issues. Xray showed 'something' laying in his stomach. I then realized he was eating the walnut shells.

We switched to chick crumble feed after I read about a cattery using it. Close Feed
And Supply had it and Honsom got better over time. The things we do for our babies...

We subscribed to Cat Watch monthly newsletters and they warned about the negative health effects of clumping cat litter, for both inhalation and consumption. We currently use Wheat litter now.

Bolt barely fits on my lap. He has some strange behaviors, he sucks on my shirt while kneading with his claws like he's suckling his mother and he flumpfs, he get's in front of me then falls on the floor and expects to be scratched.

We used to have a cat who would suck on the armpits of Eric’s work t-shirts. She loved him a ton, not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.

Sounds like Bolt is settling in pretty nicely, as the flopping in front of you is a sign of affection 🥰

Congrats on finding a BARF cat that works correctly right out of the box! :laughing

At first I thought they’d been caught painting your garage door an unacceptable color! I had to look at it for a few minutes in order to understand they were only taking the bike out for an unauthorized spin 😄

It's now impossible to take bath without The Boys scratching/slamming on the door the whole time. 26lbs of furry fury at being left out.
Once let back in - behold the tub goblins with Schmidt claiming my back pillow. It's been suggested they be renamed Mischief and Mayhem. I'm not opposed.

There's that weird word again.

On that note, we had to buy a new laundry basket the other day. Mae and Sundae have both decided they want to sleep in laundry baskets, and have claimed the only 2 that I owned. I now have one on my dining room table and one on the floor of my already too small bedroom.

Also bought a locking garbage can for the kitchen. We were both pretty pissy about paying $50 for a mostly plastic garbage can, but turns out the peace of mind is totally worth it.
