The newest member of our family, Mr. Smithers. He wandered in the cat door one morning for breakfast and never left. We think he's a feral colony escapee based on the missing tip of his right ear and his empty Ball sack. I tried to stick with a Simpsons theme to match the other orange tabby. After trying both Hugo and Frank Grimes (based on how dirty he was the first week he was here), Mr. Smithers is the one that stuck. Although he's been hearing a lot of "Itteh bitteh Smitteh Kitteh" over the last few weeks.
 
This little guy wandered up a couple months ago.. Took some time getting used to us, and slowly started wanting into the house.. So we obliged, for about 3 months.

Then it was like something came to him. He wanted to go outside. Normally we head out to the porch and hang out for a couple of minutes, and then i head in for the night and let him back in, in the morning.

That night something was different. As if a spirit was calling him. He had drifted into our lives (and hearts) for a couple of months (acting like, and reminding us very much of Boswell)... We walked out to the porch, and he just walked off, tail and nose in the air as if he was looking for something.

99.9999999% laid back and will welcome a chin and back scratch any time.
 
Jenn, for the feral kittehs, check out Peninsula Humane Society. I believe they still have a program, if not they are pretty inexpensive. You are awesome for making the effort to get these kitties neutered! :thumbup
 
The funny thing is they'll only come up there if I'm under the blanket. Otherwise they'll snub me for a window ledge or their cat tower. :laughing
