It's a crappy picture but Kimo is a huge fan of his crate. The gate is open so that he may go in when he wants. This time, I tossed his Kong and it ended up under the chair next to his crate--maybe we get there by going through the crate? lol. Such a goofball.

Like his brother from another mother, Kimo is a retrieving machine. I miss his brother, Riley.

Have a soft spot for chocolate Labs.
Had a couple in my twenties that were treasured family members.
My first lab was a Black. Both Riley and Kimo were/are chocolate.

Riley after a trip to the pool. He weighed around a 105# compared to Kimo's maybe 80#. Riley was super calm and Kimo? Wound a bit tight sometimes :) Magnum was around 80 also--I am partial to the "American" version.

Unquestionably, the best dog in the entire world. Still miss my boy Gus every day!

Got him the kiddie pool for the crazy hot summers. He's always been a water dog at the beach, but he wouldn't get in the pool. I had to get in first and that was the green light- he owned that pool ever since. Silly rottendawgs.

Back in the day, with our lab mix, I as in Nevada.

One day, one of those little blue pools blew into our yard, so I filled it up.

And, well, Labs and water, enough said. (When we would go to the river, it was folly to keep him in the car. We'd just let him out and run along side. That dog loved the water.)

He did manage to get about 3-4" of dirt in the bottom of that thing, however, that was fun mud to dump out.

Later in the year, the pool blew away. But it was fun fun fun summer for the duration!
