Post your Minis!

First one is a DB30 I bought that was in pretty rough shape but was cheap. Had a 212 Predator and a Coment TAV on it though so I grabbed it. It's my current project and very close to being done. I cleaned it up, painted it an annoying color and added a billet rod, billet flywheel, 22mm Mikuni, header and hydraulic brake. Also put some new tires and grips on it. The seat is the stock one from my CT200U project.

You can see Abacinator's mini bike project sitting on the bench in the following pic. Gave him some of my stuff I didn't need so he could get started on a build. I believe his is a Cat frame and he's using the original GX200 clone that came out of my CT200U in it.

My Coleman CT200U project. Not sure if I'd call it a CT200U anymore since the frame is the only original part and even it has been modified (with more planned). It's got a 212 Predator in it now and I'm planning on building it up to 16-20hp. I'll get going on it again once I finish up the DB30 in the previous pics.

I bought this DB30 off a friend of mine. 10+ years ago he swapped a Lifan 125cc 4 speed setup into it. A clutch on a mini bike is weird. It's not that fast, but it's a ton of fun. Anyway, he did a terrible job on the welds/customization so a buddy from work is going to totally redo the whole thing for me. I'm on the fence about putting a Lifan 140cc engine into it. Not sure if that would require lengthening the frame. As it sits, the rear tire has to self clearance. This is my only one that is currently a rider. All I've done so far is put on new tires and fuck my foot up when it came out from underneath me when I was wearing sandals.

I've got another DB30 frame sitting in the garage that will be getting a 5hp Briggs swap done. I'm not even going to start messing with it until these 3 are finished.

That's amazing. I've always wondered how the Monkey rides compared to the Grom.

You should install a big bore kit.

Haven't tried a grom, I think this a bit shorter. Doesn't have buddy pegs.
I have faster bikes, it is the size that works for me, the load in the truck. Quiet, non scary, works for the older RV crowd.
I'm seeing different side cases for this motor in different
applications, wondering which one is fastest?

Mini

Finally got these sorted and getting some proper seat time

Still very much into the Mini scene

Luv hitting the back roads with this 13 OG Grom. So much fun!!! Time doesn't allow me to do Group rides these days. So my rides are mostly solo. Throw me a wave if you see me trotting along the Calaveras Reservoir :wave

Not long ago, sold this 17 Z125 set up mostly for track use ..... to promote the Z125 and Grom's of what they're capable of, and how much fun they are on the track. Maybe not the fastest (except for those that tame it to ride fast), but fun!

Replaced the Z125 recently with this 06 TTR (now 150cc). Look forward to getting this one out to the track soon...... waiting on better weather and time permitting

Here's mine...

This '19 Grom is my go to vehicle. If there's no highway miles involved, she's coming out. I'll post again in a few weeks when I'm done with a full mod I'm finishing up. This is her at Sonoma Raceway (Sim) last year. At this stage she's still pretty stock.

I'm back.

Been itching to ride again for a while. Someone I know put their NSR up for sale, so I decided to take it off her hands.

Didn't help that my mom has become a popular local track photographer and is always posting photos of people riding. Even worse when she starts talking about how nice *insert Moto America racer name* is after hanging out with them at the track. She is on a first name basis with too many of them :laughing

Few months after getting the NSR, I also got a GSXR :squid

:cool Don't see many (or any) NSR's or even YSR's on the track these days. KX65, 85's are most popular 2-smokers on the track these days.

Anybody gonna buy this kit?

I love it!

Not a fan of it. I can see these kits w/ retro schemes, tho' :cool

sweet flat tracker, Joe!!! How many cc's? No doubt this will be plated soon, if not already :laughing :ride

190 cc's
Waiting for the disk-brake front end to arrive, then I will plate it !!
Are you going to make some of the Mondays at Sonoma kart track this season ?

:cool

Tracking a TTR125 these days. Waiting on JPH (Jason) to free up some time to tune front forks (front end chatter). Been mostly tracking Dixon these days. Maybe do Sonoma Mondays on Holiday's (Memorial and Labor Day). Will see :ride
