Project 69 rolls ;-))

Thanks for the replys, Rides well, I have to bring it back to Aftershocks and finish up the suspension. Phil has put a lot of time into getting the rear end sorted out on this thing. It is a little soft on the back end and firm on the front, but that will be sorted.

In a straight line... FAST... very fast.. :) but I wouldnt like to go to nutz on the twisties till phil does his magic..

When do I get a test ride? How much does it weigh? I want to know how it handles once it is all set up with the suspension.

Do you have to pull the motor to adjust the valves? It looks kind of tight in there.

Yup, That was another problem, With the high lift cams in there, any time we had to make minor adjustments to the timimg, the motor had to be practically dropped out of the frame. Freakin grief galore.. :cry

damn... so where is the line for the test rides again?

Damn thats a kick ass bike man! I was thinking about doing the swingarm swap myself...How hard was it to fit that tail section???

I'd go with a dual headlight set up...

Thanks again, I am going to change the headlights to something a little nicer when I work out the Gauges for it, I am tied up with two different setups. Next project, getting them to work.. :)

Tailsection was the easy part of the project, Just cut the old steel one off, Weld on new brackets and bolt on the R6 subframe. Literally tiik about 4 hours to do. Simple.. :thumbup

the whole bike is badass...so a headlight deserving of the rest of the bike is in order. other than that, :sick

very very well done! but how does it ride? :nerd

Thanks.. It rides well, very hard to keep the front on the road at any speed, Its soo friggin light and a lot of power in there, It actually carberates really well for flatslides.
Not so hot in the twisties, Pushes the front end out easily, But that is going to be sorted out soon. The front end is to firm and the back end is to soft.
Aftershocks is gonna take out the front end and check out the valving and then set it all up and DOOD, Life is gonna be peachy...:laughing

These took a long time to get finished, Had to send them to England and wait for them to be mailed back, then make a steering stem to get them to fit the frame/headrace bearings
Very nice. Did you do your own machining for the steering stem? Can you recommend a machinst? Why did you go for the NT650 swingarm versus the VFR750? Was it because of the length? It's a great looking SF. :cool

M&H cycles on mission st in South San FRancisco did the machining. Top class guy, fast and clean, no BS and a good price, Highly recomended.. :)

The VFR arm went in well but it just toooo ugly and long, The wheel base was to long, So I got the NT arm and it looks a lot better..

dude, that bike is awesome, even for a 4 banger:p its nice to see something different. great job. oh yeah, that headlight does suck:wow

not my cup of tea but I appreciate what you did - good work and looks good I can appreciate hard work , looks like you did your homework and did it right

Nice!

Will that NT swingarm be able to handle the power of that bored out mill?
I know they built the NT swingarms pretty strong to start with... but to handle a built up 900 motor.

Guess time will tell.

RYD ON!
