PSA: My motorcycle sale gone wrong - Embezzlement

To be honest, this I kept this secret long enough, and since I used to race with the AFM, I was worried about my safety and others.

This said person, admitted to me at an AFM race in '08 that he had smoked weed in the truck prior to the race, and he thinks it was the reason why it caused him to CRASH.

:wtf Are you fucking kidding me?? Smoked out, and went out and RACED?? And then crashed?? FAIL. :thumbdown :thumbdown
Next time, Stan, don't keep something like that secret... go to one of the officials, and tell them what you know. Someone who would put others at risk like that doesn't deserve protection from the consequences of their highly irresponsible behavior.

Breaking and entering, trespassing, etc. Some might look the other way, some might prosecute you for it.

But, if it's just sitting there and you steal it and give it back to the original owner, and the alleged thief really did take it in the first place how is he/she going to legally prove ownership and take it back back again.

Pretty much as long as we dont cause a civil disturbance, we can legally repo the bike.

As long as nobody messes him up, there any legal reason a bunch of you can't go there and bring it back to the real owner?

You can't break into their house or garage to do that. However, if a group of very large BARFers were to show up and very politely ask for the return of the bike, I would imagine Chris would (very politely) hand over the bike, and (very politely) offer his thanks for saving him the trip.
Or, he might just cower in the darkened house like a chickenshit little weasel.

This thread might be more useful if the person in question had his name in the title of the thread. A LOT of folks in the community are aquainted with or are aquaintences of him. He would have to be a real idiot to try and hide very long. Assuming all is true.

Of course I am also available for a trip in a van with some ramps if anyone needs some help. Riding shotgun of course.

Lot of unemployed BARFers who could really use that cash

ALL of you guys are experiencing the fun ideas and "normal conclusions" that pop to mind when something this unfair happens.
It also goes from fun to soooo frustrating when you actually try to enact it and come up short.:mad
But resolution should be mutual, amicable and peaceful.....always. If he forces me to more Legal, that is NOT my choice, but his.

Instead of paying a repo guy $500 to get my bike back and more money to lawyers...here's my offer to Barf.

$750 TO ANY CONFIRMED, now registered at thread inception BARFER WHO CAN RETURN MY BIKE TO ME BY PEACEFUL RESOLUTION AND A CONFIRMATION THAT THE BIKE IS 100% IN TACT AND WITH FULL INTEGRITY and unharmed.
MEDIATION SETTING ONLY FOR NOW

PLUS ABSOLUTE VERIFICATION OF HERO STATUS.:thumbup

HE himself could be that hero.

Kind of interested to see what Dove would have to say about this. If nothing, that's telling.

Hey, hang on why did that Vanish???l

It was here, then went poof. I thought it to be 'divine intervention'.

I'd be willing to help in any capacity I can btw. Don't really know any of the parties involved though. Still I wouldn't take a cent either.

Seems like the questionable party should respond, especially since he seems to have some people here who know him well.

Please whatever you guys decide to do record it with a HD GoPro! Good luck and God Speed!

I can get his last address & a phone number. I can give it a shot.

Dani, dah-ling, my cousin is a Hell's Angel. Just say the word and your bike will be back in your driveway in a New York minute. Washed, serviced, a full tank, and an apology from Dove, that is. One thing I love about my cousin is that he never does anything half way. He'll be over for pancakes tomorrow morning. Just say the word.

Otherwise, I too volunteer for a more polite show up en masse at Dove's place. The best thing he could do is to call the cops on us.

Cheers,

Marc.

I don't have a horse in this but before angry drunk BARFers go hunting I wanted to say that Dove came into my store, was very pleasant, spent a good amount of money with a good check, and returned a pricey trial saddle that I let customers try out for a few days on a handshake.
