Q: What's lamer than a Harley Super Glide?

He must be a member of the Black Widows.

That's a lame attempt at Nazi SS runes, or some kind of attempt at plausible deniability. "I just like lightning bolts, man."

In a real 4th reich he would be the first to go.

S&S have absolutely nothing to do with this or nazism, except to prove barfs continuing ignorance of a whole facet of motorcycling.

This has nothing to do with Harley or cruisers. This is about an idiot, regardless of brand preference.

They still exist too. And there are super sport camaros, and other instances of ss, or s&s.

Combinations of s’s, and even the swastika itself, are neither inherently racist nor “nazi”. An entire nation of Indians as well as native Americans (both utilize the swastika, fun fact...) are not nazis.

The Schutzstaffel utilized lightning bolt looking S runes. That’s the “bad” symbol... but take a look at the s’s in the band KISS.

Why the long post? I owned a Supersport Camaro, am white, and have a shaved head because the hair on top decided Bay Area rents were too high... and while few things offend me being called a nazi or a skinhead is one of them.

As a shaved head/beard guy with relentless disdain for racism, I understand where you're coming from.

It's particularly hard when riding bikes like my FXR or your Dyna and people associate that look with the trash that still screws around with the "whiteboy" decals and other passively racist garbage.

I'm at a loss for words as to express how sad it makes me that people still think this kind of symbolism is okay.

Pulled up on my Dyna at a spot in Tracy the other day, parked next to one similar to it. Swingarm had a decal on it, "100% WHITEBOY" in red gang-style lettering. Fuck those guys and their 19th century worldview.

I've seen a lot of Whiteboy stickers on Harley's.

It that supposed to be offensive somehow also?

Sorry for anyone trying to make a comparison of S&S parts or the SS Chevys to the Nazi SS. There is no comparison. I never understood the fringe groups who wore the Nazi DOT Helmets and used the Nazi SS and Swatztika. Besides the hate and racism associated. Thousands of US soldiers died in WW2 by people who used those symbols.

Those symbols have no place in the USA.

There is (or at least was) a riding gear company called SS....they meant speed/street I believe. Pretty nice stuff but the company name was a deal breaker for me.
Talk about shooting yourself in the marketing foot right outta the gate.

You also have WP suspension, which still comes on a lot of KTMs.

Some companies desperately need to rebrand.

Kinda like KTM and their WP suspension. Used to be White Power forks but they changed their name to WP. Ok yeah that's really changed their name in my mind, lol not.. I don't think KTM is a racist company but the WP name and history makes me chuckle.

+1.

Imagine being this disrespectful of a person ^

+1. What are we, barbarians?

JesasauruxRex, please be respectful of people's nazi beliefs. Don't be a bigot and instantly reject ideas you disagree with. If you want to go to a meeting and then reject the ideas, that is your right. I'll pm you the time and location of the next meetup. It'd be cool if you brought potato salad, but it's not required.

TIL I didn't know WP and the White Power suspension brand were associated, I always thought WP was just "WP"... guess it worked :)

I wasn't riding when they were called White Power though, too young... but yeah that's a bad name lol
